Do you think that if a person had a mild case of dandruff that it would affect someone coloring thei

I've been using a shampoo for my very mild case of a dandruff problem but want to color my hair with the home kit. Would coloring my hair just dry out my scalp more or should it be fine?

Do you think that if a person had a mild case of dandruff that it would affect someone coloring their hair?

You will be fine. I have the same problem and dye my hair constantly.

Do you think that if a person had a mild case of dandruff that it would affect someone coloring their hair?

just color your hair, deal with the dryed out scap afterwards

Do you think that if a person had a mild case of dandruff that it would affect someone coloring their hair?

you will get colored dandruff for awhile

but if you use a bleaching agent then your dandruff may get worse

What brand of semi permanent hair coloring, really covers gray hair?

Loreal...because we're worth it. I've been using it for years. I just switched from "Preference" to their new line "Natural Match". Works great.

What brand of semi permanent hair coloring, really covers gray hair?

I like HennaPlus products. Still, keep in mind that semi-perms are suitable for only up to 25% gray hair. If you're further gone, you'll have to go permanent.

What brand of semi permanent hair coloring, really covers gray hair?

the whole idea with semi colors is to NOT cover completely; hence, the lower volume developer.

it's not as damaging to the hair because of the low volume developer. and low volume developer cannot cover the gray. it will BLEND it in.

if you are up to 20% gray then a 20 volume developer is needed. if you are up to 40% gray, then AT LEAST a 30 - 35 volume developer is needed. the higher the developer the more damaging to the hair it is.

did this answer the question? too much info? sorry.

Where I can find maj茅 foils for hair coloring?

maj茅 foils is made of aluminun plus another textile linen

Where I can find maj茅 foils for hair coloring?

I'm not sure if you want to procure some for your own salon use, or if you're looking for the service for yourself. Aveda salons use Maje Foils. They really help with the bleed-through. But if you are looking for them wholesale, try beautyweb.com. They have distributors that carry that brand listed for every state if you are looking for the foils wholesale. They're pretty cheap, too! :) Good luck!

Where I can find maj茅 foils for hair coloring?

Beauty Supplies should carry this.

Frost and glow hair coloring kit?

How long after you mix the stuff do you have until it's no good??

Frost and glow hair coloring kit?

It says somewhere on that little instruction paper, but I think it's 2 hours. Whatever you do, please be careful if you are using a cap. I had a really bad experience with using one before, I was left with ripply highlights...yuck. lol

Frost and glow hair coloring kit?

My professiona advice is not to use it in the first place.... go to a qualified stylist and get it done...... you will be much happier with the results

Frost and glow hair coloring kit?

I would guess it would only be good the day its mixed. Look on the package it came in and see if there is a number, they should be able to tell you. Hope that helped!

Frost and glow hair coloring kit?

its in the directions i think its that day like 3 hrs

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

deffinetly hair coloring most ppl are doing a light color on top and then a dark color underneath i am a very prepy person and the top of my hair is a light brown and the underneath is black and everyone says it looks good soo try something similar =]

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

My hair is dyed 'warm auburn' since i've done it, everyone notices my blue eyes more!

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

its more "in" if you do like one color haighlights are out right now unless your getting your roots touched up they throw in a couple of highlights just to lighten it, because its winter id go with a darker color then around spring lighten it up

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

I think they are both trendy.... coloring is less upkeep.... when u get highlights (depending on your colors) your roots start to show faster, and then when u get them redone, they have to try to carfeully go over the same places they were before... otherwise, like say if you are brunette with blonde highlights, then eventually you end up just all blonde because you have so many highlights on there...

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

Highlights but more than one one color

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

I'm a hairstylist, and I have to say that you need to ask a stylist what works best for you. if you have waistlength black curly hair highlights are a bad idea and you'l want to color. if you grey, different. if it's brown/blonde etc. it's all relative. i must say though if you get highlights I would tell her to just go truogh your "crown" and fron sides. I can't stand having to look at highlights underneath a ponytail, natural blondes have darker hair underneath duh, because sun doesn't get under there. Not to mention a full head of highlights is irritating to have to do, and expennnnnsssiiive.

good luck!

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

I say what is suitable for the client. highlights effects and accents your cut. choose a good hairdresser.

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

eww i hate highlights. half the time women come back from the salons looking like skunks.

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

coloring i guess,

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

well in my opinion you should do both, it looks good and its easy plus simple. warm tones like dirty blond and light brown look awesome together, go to a salon and get the hair stylist to see wat colour look best with your skin, it will help you out alot

Whats more 'in',hair coloring or highlighting?

Right now I would say dimensional color is in. Which is several shades of one color. You can do this with any shades like all reds, browns, blondes, etc.. It's a beautiful effect.

I just did a home hair coloring from blonde to a dirty blonde, half way down my hair it tuned grayis

Get an appointment, go to the salon and fix it!

I just did a home hair coloring from blonde to a dirty blonde, half way down my hair it tuned grayish...help??

Discoloration like that is often due to uneven porosity in the hair...due to some kind of damage (chemical, heat related, sun, not getting trims, etc).

There isn't much to do really...except strip out the color with a color corrector, use a protein treatment to fill in the hair (ApHogee protein treatment and moisturizer are my suggestions), then try again...you may want to see a professional to fix your hair...if I could see or touch your hair, I'd be more helpful. Sorry.

Why doesn't grey hair hold hair coloring for very long?

It is driving me crazy.

Why doesn't grey hair hold hair coloring for very long?

because it is like a paint brush with no bristles to hold the paint. it is empty and can't hold color and the more we try to color it the more damaged it becomes.

Why doesn't grey hair hold hair coloring for very long?

And I thought I was the only one..I do not have the answer, but very curious to see what the experst have to say.

Good question.

Why doesn't grey hair hold hair coloring for very long?

the same reason why it doesnt hold your natural color anymore its a dying and its doesnt work like it used to

Why doesn't grey hair hold hair coloring for very long?

There's no more pigment (color) left in the medulla. Grey hair is also resistant because of lack of pigment(color).

Why doesn't grey hair hold hair coloring for very long?

because you need to use permanent color on your hair so it change actually change the melanin in your hair permanently..otherwise you can consider just grey "blending"

Why doesn't grey hair hold hair coloring for very long?

What do you consider "very long"? If that is after 3-4 weeks what you are looking at is regrowth. If it is much less than that time, it is a problem with the formulation, application, timing or aftercare.

How do scientists analyze hydrogen peroxide for hair dye, or hair coloring?

please let me know, i'm doing a chemistry project and i couldn't find any information on the ACTUAL analysis that they do. I found information on hydrogen peroxide.... but not the analysis. it would be great if you helped :)

How do scientists analyze hydrogen peroxide for hair dye, or hair coloring?

The scientific term for analysis for certain chemical species is called "assay". Googling "hydrogen peroxide assay" gives over a million hits. One reference which would seem to be of some use for what you want would be in the source below. There are other assays of H2O2, but they are for trace amounts found in vivo.

I really need someone that knows a lot about hair coloring. Can you tell me what #color highlight he

Better yet could you also tell me if he had it highlighted or foiled? (by the way, he's an actor and musician named Nicholas Tse) Below are several links to his picture.

http://a850.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/ima...

http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Acade...

I really need someone that knows a lot about hair coloring. Can you tell me what #color highlight he has on?

yes that is done with foils, and its done with hair bleach.

If your hair is the same stile you can do it with a hair cap and normal bleach that you buy from the chemist or supermarket, leave it on for about 10 min and then start to check it every 5 min, rinse it of when it is the desire blond.

If a hair dresser is going to do it just take the pic. with. and ask them to put 9B natural beige blond on if after they have done the highlights, if makes it really white.

I really need someone that knows a lot about hair coloring. Can you tell me what #color highlight he has on?

hey man. why need #,just go buy some paint clours. then highlight u hairs.then look at the mirrow, so done. haha

Has anyone used lorel color pulse hair coloring?

yes but if you have dark hair it wont show up.

Has anyone used lorel color pulse hair coloring?

No, I use dark n' lovely

Has anyone used lorel color pulse hair coloring?

I've used it. Don't expect it to lighten your hair because it has no real chemicals like peroxide in it.. I tried one of the purple shades on my black hair and it was barely visible except in the sunlight. I recommend it if you're a beginner to hair coloring or if you're just going for a subtle change.

Has anyone used lorel color pulse hair coloring?

Yea, It was really easy to use and the colour was good as well =D

My hair is falling out because of hair coloring, well it ever grow back?

I know THAT feeling. I bout the cheapo stuff and my hair is ruined!

The good news is your hair WILL grow back. Shampoo as little as you can *without feeling gross ;) *. Gently brush your natural oils through to the ends.I highly recommend going to a beauty supply store or salon and ask them what products they recommend. They also offer deep conditioning services. This will give your hair more strength! Best wishes to you...

OOH! One more tip. When my hair was totally fried, I would put a leave in conditioner (TRESemme) http://www.tresemme.com/moisture/product... my damp hair and put it in a bun. I had also purchased a clip on pony tail for about $40. I would clip that on over my hair and get wonderful conditioning all day. No one ever even knew i had fake hair on. It was awesome and my hair grew quite quickly!

My hair is falling out because of hair coloring, well it ever grow back?

Yes... it will grow back, and it's most likely breaking off because of being over-processed. Just don't die your hair for a while.

My hair is falling out because of hair coloring, well it ever grow back?

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I don't blow dry...why, I don't know, I do everything else damaging to it! I began coloring/streaking when it became "in" again and got hooked on flat ironing because of my daughter! my hair has gone through some much the last couple of months I wonder how I still got any :) I've always blow-dried it cause it's very long and thick and I can' wait for it to dry on its own, couple of month ago I decided to have lighter highlights to a point that I got blonde ( or should I say orange) and then to repair that i got brunette again in a space of three days and now every time I wash my hair I iron it cause it looks nicer and I still blow dry it even if its hot outside and on top of that I go around all day with wet hair cause I'm dying in this heat and I know that must dehydrate my hair really bad...but somehow it still stays on :) my hair is a hero

Use a good shampoo from a salon e.i. Bumble and Bumble. It is expensive, but worth it. I have naturally curly hair, okay well most of my life it has been naturally FRIZZY until I discovered Bumble and Bumble.

I have noticed that If I don't use Bumble and Bumble the curls turn back to Frizz. A good shampoo is very important.

I keep it trimmed short (i even do it myself with one of those home barber thingies)(the scary kind that plugs into the wall), because it's just easier to keep care of that way. Plus it's cooler in the summer, and it doesn't stick to the roof of the car in the winter. Well, back when i still had a car. I sold it a couple weeks ago. Which makes me a truly carfree individual. Why do hair professionals provide free hair coloring services to people sometimes?

For practice. They might have some trainees and offering you a free colouring is basically a way to teach them. However, there is always a danger that the hairdresser will do a bad job, but it can be a price to pay for a free new style.

Or, for publicity. If they do a good job, your friend will ask and you'll tell them. Then your friend will tell her mother who will tell her sister who will tell her cousin who will tell her daughter who will tell her teacher and so on. Lots of people will find out about it at no cost to the hair place.

Why do hair professionals provide free hair coloring services to people sometimes?

I would not think they need to do it for practice, that is what beauty schools are for and they charge at beauty schools, although a reduced rate.

Maybe once in a while they will do it for charity, for women in homeless or battered shelters, but I would think it would be very mainstream color and cut to help these women.

A third thing may be some product manufacturer is trying to gain acceptance and is paying pros to try their product out on volunteers who are not paying. In this case, I would think that the volunteers have to be up for a variety of colors.

Years ago a woman approached me in a store because she needed "heads" for color/cut for a show or something. I was flattered but declined. It sounds like someone may be pressuring you and in this case I think you should say no. I think your instincts are right.

Why do hair professionals provide free hair coloring services to people sometimes?

Here is an excellent site with some wonderful options 4 U.

Whats the best long lasting hair color for dark brown-espresso, home coloring?

Loreal's Feria is excellent. It's about $10 a box, but it's the best at-home hair color that I've tried.

Whats the best long lasting hair color for dark brown-espresso, home coloring?

You should try to go to a Sally Beauty Store.

And try Wella. I dyed my hair dark brown and I swear the color never faded.

But they do have darkbrown-expresso which I am sure would work as well.

Whats the best long lasting hair color for dark brown-espresso, home coloring?

You should never use box color on your hair. It's a metallic progressive color that, if you don't get the result you want, CANNOT be corrected by a professional. Your best bet is to go to the salon and let a professional do it. To keep your color looking bright, use a professional, salon quality color care shampoo and conditioner.

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

Is it Safe to use this method, and how do you take it off?

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

being a doggroomer yes you can use food color...and to get it out you can use dawn dish soap but not alot and make sure you get it all out....

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

It's safe, as long as you don't use chemical dyes meant for humans.

My friend used to dye her Westie orange for halloween. She used kool-aid, and used a hairdryer to set it. It stayed for a couple of washes, and looked pretty cool.

I have a white dog, too, but I could never imagine dying her a different color. Imagine a purple husky walking around! :)

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

yes food coloring is safe, its non toxic as its meant to be able to be eaten or ingested.....it is safe but can be very messy....make sure to dry your dog completley after you color him/her to help keep the color from rubbing off on everything so bad......just a littel warning it may still rub off some as it is not a permenant dye

as far as taking it off basically you just have to wait untill it washes out....it will usually do this in about 3-5 washings

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

Why on Earth would you want to do something like that?

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

Dogs look best with the hair color they were meant to have. Not sure why you'd want to color your dog's hair!

How to remove it? ... Hmmmmm ... just let it rub off on your carpet and sofa.

Why do you want to dye your dog's hair for?

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

why would you want to do that? isnt your dog adorable just the way he/she is?

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

yes, food dyes are safe. you have to shampoo them (probably repeatedly) to get it out.

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

Kool aid or jello better. I used dawn.

What is a good hair coloring product to make my hair brunette???

I know you don't want me to tell you this but,

go to a salon, please. box color contains metallics that damange the hair and get locked into the cortex of the hair. When in doubt see a professional,

What is a good hair coloring product to make my hair brunette???

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

That's the link to the exact color I'm using now. Btw I dye my hair A LOT. It also comes with conditioner that makes your hair really silky. You can buy it at any drugstore and it comes with gloves. That's just one of the colors, but there's plenty more to choose from. You can also buy sets of two for the price of one at target.

(just make sure to NOT get an auburn one or your hair might turn green, I suggest golden ones because it makes your hair look really cool in the sun without turning green.)

If you have any other questions just ask me.

Why do hair coloring products purchased from drugtores stain my scalp while beauty parlor dyes don&#

is the difference in the process or the products?

Why do hair coloring products purchased from drugtores stain my scalp while beauty parlor dyes don't?

It is the metallic in the drug store boxes.

Why do hair coloring products purchased from drugtores stain my scalp while beauty parlor dyes don't?

part of it is how you rinse out your hair, when a stylist does it, he/she tends to really rub your scalp clean, you may not be doing that, also they can see what they are doing where as you can not...I myself have never noticed my scalp being tinted after dying my own hair.

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

GO TO THE SALON- there is a reason we go to school for 1200 hrs. or more, there are many reasons why we have a special license for doing so and have to take a super hard test to get it. The stuff in the store is....crap, it's formulated so it will hopefully work on most anyone's hair so they put a ridiculously high volume of peroxide in the box that you 99% of the time wouldn't need anywhere close to that. one blah haircolor is so out, dimentional color is the way to go..I know they have those kits that are supposed to allow you to get a color and highlights BUT....1. I as a hairstylist tried it when I was in beauty school and couldn't do the damn thing without looking like a blotchy mess 2. when a stylist does this they do it in one process not coloring-and then going thru and hilighting it. it's too much stress on the hair, there is no need to put the strands you want hilighted through 2 chemical processes!

-way better condition

-someone to give you exact instructions and advice on how to maintain it

-THEY KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING!!

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

i do it my self and everyone complements me on so Report It

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

you could do it either way i do it at a salon because i'm too scared of making any mistake on my hair

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

Do it either way, at Sally's, they have do-it-yourself dyes, but it can be scary if you make a mistake, but maybe have a friend do it for you, so they can see in the back and stuff!

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

Oh definitely at a salon!! I know it's more expensive but it lasts longer, they will get it even, and you don't have to worry about any mess. :):)

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

salon its much better for your hair and if you do it yourselff you never know if your hair is gonna look like crap

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

both.. but its better if u go on hair salon.. I did it by myself though! *laughs*

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

i would prefer to go to a salon bcuz like that if they do a mistake they can fix it right their

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

I do it myself most of the time. sometimes like for special events I go to a salon and get it done.

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

Salon. It's best to have professionals do it for you. If you make a mistake - you could end up with a weird color or worse - you hair may fall out.

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

my friend had brown hair and wanted blonde highlights, her mom did it- and her head was checkered we called her a cheetah- it was pretty funny!! a salon might be more expensive but if you do it yourself (or let your mom do it) it could be a total disaster!!

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

pay the money, go to a salon. It will cost more to fix it if you mess up, and the mess isnt at you house!

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

You can do it any way you want.I don't die my hair but my mom does it to herself. I don't think she has ever made a mistake. But if this is your first experience with it you should go to a salon.

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

In past i have dyed my hair in reddish tones... all by myself on 2.5' long hair:) I guess only for highlights... u need a pro

Poll on HAIR COLORING: do you go to a salon or do it yourself at home?

I have a personal stylist, I wouldn't trust some dumb bitches in a cheap salon doing my hair.

What is the best hair coloring for fair skin, auburn hair, and freckles?

Anything that has a warm undertone should be good. If it's a cool undertone, you're going to look very off and kind of ashy. Try reds, red-browns, coppers, etc.

What is the best hair coloring for fair skin, auburn hair, and freckles?

A light brown or just brown in general would look nice. Just dont use dark colors like black because since your fair skinned you dont want to look washed out and super super super ghost white!

What are the best hair color products for home coloring?

I have been touching up my hair for the past few years and I have always used L'Oreal and have been really happy with it, both with the colour and with the lovely shiny look and texture when it is done.

But, home colouring does not last too long, although I do mine about every 3-4 months. If you had it done professionally it would probably last longer or if you are wanting to colour grey, then I think professional is the way to go.

What are the best hair color products for home coloring?

What are the best hair color products for home coloring?

I would never recommend doing it yourself. The professionals know what there doing!

What are the best hair color products for home coloring?

I personally use either clairol hydrience or garnier....both have worked equally well for me.

What are the best hair color products for home coloring?

Professional color products are best, but I've also had really good results from Clairol Herbal Essences.

What are the best hair color products for home coloring?

i'd say the herbel essence ones, just remember to NOT go cheap on the dye because it makes a HUGGGGGGGE difference!

Sorry.

Multi-level hair coloring?

best go to the hairdresser, trying out more than one colour highlights or shades can come out horrendously!

Multi-level hair coloring?

Well this is what I would do if I were you. First off, if I wanted to go cheap, then I would attempt to do it myself. I would go and buy the various colors I wanted in the store, and just carefully pick out various strands on my head and apply the color I wanted for each strand. Most of the boxes at the store can be rinsed out around the same time, so you should be ok as far as that goes. But honestly, if you have the extra money, it would be much easier and probably better results to go and pay a professional to do it. Let them deal with the mess!!! :-) Hope that helps, but that's what I'd do.

I love to experiment with hair coloring. What is the coolest color or combination of colors for men?

You look like your base color is very dark?...or is that colored already?...I would recommend highlighting it with very light blonde streaks and coloring over those with a carmel color. Unless, your naturally dark, then you can achieve this, without the blonde step and even change to a copper color. I've done all this in the salon, and I believe it's what's hot right now. Cosmetologist =o)

I love to experiment with hair coloring. What is the coolest color or combination of colors for men?

with your colouring i'd go a mid range blue and black. Blue would be your highlights. Or maybe fire engine red highlights with a black base. Stick with a dark base, it'll look better on you :)

I love to experiment with hair coloring. What is the coolest color or combination of colors for men?

try doing purple. my friend did it, but it was only in the front. i thought it looked cool.

I love to experiment with hair coloring. What is the coolest color or combination of colors for men?

My youngest son has tried many colors on his natural blond hair. Since you love to experiment, try buying spray temporary color. Make sure you buy a white to underlay the color you'd like on top and then you can see how it looks for a day and if you'd like it permanently after that, get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. Red, blue, green and more they have them all in temp sprays. Manic Panic is a great place to find all kinds of strange and unusual colors.

I love to experiment with hair coloring. What is the coolest color or combination of colors for men?

black and purple i think it ROCKS ;)

Think BRAD PITT-- BLOND, Blond men are very rear and they always turn heads of the ladies.

Steps before Hair Coloring?

Should you not wash a day prior? And a day after? What should i do?

Steps before Hair Coloring?

dont wash it the day before, becuase the natural oil that forms in your hair will be better for the coloring process... and as for after coloring it... they wash your hair for you anyway in order to get the color out... dont wash so often the first week.. becuase it will fade quicker.

Steps before Hair Coloring?

Your hair should be clean and dry, with no products in it. It's o.k. to wash day before, provided that your hair does not get oily quick.

It's perfectly o.k. to wash the day after too. Some people think that it washes out your color faster, but that has not been my personal experience.

I would get a conditioner that is for colored hair, they really do seem to help keep the shine and vitality in your hair. Best of luck, hope this helps.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

It just seems that it fades too quickly so I thought maybe leaving it on longer than reccomended 30 minutes would help.Thanx

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

Processing time means just that, after whatever time that's stipulated on the box by the manufacturer is how long their color takes to process, meaning.......once your hair cuticle is full there is no more room for anything else, say like a glass of water, you can make it overflow, but the excess will just run off. People that do not know the structure of hair seems to thing that the longer you leave it on the longer your color will last, that is so not true. The longer you leave hair color on(pass processing time) the more damaged your hair will be. So in essence it makes no sense at all to leave it on past processing time, your hair cuticle is full. Good luck to you.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

Thank you for allowing me to assist you in NOT damaging your hair with myths. Report It

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

I know I did. Just make sure that your hair is in good strong condition and not in a breakage or damaged condition.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

DEFINITELY...I LEAVE MINE ON FOR AN HOUR...THE MORE YOU COLOR YOUR HAIR, THE LONGER IT TAKES TO PROCESS !!!

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

Yeah, but it will be REALLY bright at first.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

No,it's not a good idea.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

Haircolor is made to be self-timing these days. Especially the do-it-yourself kind. It shuts itself off after the recommended time so you do not over-process. Highlighting products (hair bleach) does not do this so it will lighten more if left on longer. The reason it's fading so quickly probably has something to do with the after-care. Always use color safe shampoo and conditioner.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

Well you can but don't leave it in for more than 45 mins bcuz then you can damage ur hair. If ur hair is already damaged then I wouldn't recommend it bcuz it can worsen the conditon of ur hair.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

You can, but I wouldn't it drys your hair out so bad you can't bring it back and it falls out more. This becomes worse if you color your hair often as i did. It has taken my hair almost a year to comeback from all the damage I caused it. Don't dye to close together either. Good Luck. I hope I have helped a little.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

not if you have really dark hair ?

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

It's best to follow the directions one the box. Over-coloring your hair can lead to a lot of hair related problems.

When coloring your hair,Can you leave the hair color on longer than it says on the box?

I have before, because I have thick hair.

Does "adore" hair Coloring REALLY work?

i just bought it in plum borwn..but..i have "whitegirlhair",=[

Does "adore" hair Coloring REALLY work?

Usually African-American hair is more porous than other kind of hair, henceit dyes more easily. If hair dye doesn't contain proxide or ammonia, it's harder to use at home.

If your hair is darker than the hair color, it probably won't work. Even if it does, it won't be as vibrant as the picture on the box. It will work if you have blonde to medium brown hair.

If i do a strand test before coloring my hair...........??????

if i do a strand test before coloring my whole head, is the color that the strand of hair turns out, the color that my whole head of hair wll turn out? thanks!

If i do a strand test before coloring my hair...........??????

yes, but dont just do ONE strand, do a small chunk from the under side of the back of your head.

If i do a strand test before coloring my hair...........??????

yes

If i do a strand test before coloring my hair...........??????

most likely however if you put it on longer or shorter time when u put it on ur whole head, even one minute longer or shorter it will turn out differently.

If i do a strand test before coloring my hair...........??????

More than likely, yes, however it depends on how long you leave it on to process. Depending upon if you are going lighter or darker will determine the color.

Hope this helped good luck and go for it!

If i do a strand test before coloring my hair...........??????

yes it will except if you have lots of different colors.. but if your hair is one whole color then yes.

If i do a strand test before coloring my hair...........??????

Yes, with one exception, the color of our hair varies from one part of our head to another, so the end result will vary slightly in the same way. Remember the time you leave the test on the strand so you can use that amount of time (or more, or less) for your entire head. Smart question.

Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

Yes, it does. Some products to a lesser extent, but still, they all damage your hair.

The longer the color remains in your hair, the greater the damage. This means that coloring shampoos or henna cause less damage, but they won't change your hair color that much, specially if it is dark, and the color won't last for too long as well.

No matter what product you decide to use, make sure you also use moisturizing shampoos and hair conditioning specifically made for dyed hair.

Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

yes, hair coloring can damage of hair,,, any way no best hair coloring product to use .

Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

If you have the money have your hair professionally done. If not pick a good hair dyelike loreal.and just follow the directions

Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

yes coloring your hair can damage it! you could try coloring it with a natural product like henna!

Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

yes and no period

Do hair coloring cause any damage to hair and what are the best hair coloring products to use?

yes all hair colouring products cause damage to the hair since all ofthem have chemicals.

Does hair coloring cause people to get more gray hair faster?

I'm just now starting to notice a few gray. I always used to get highlights. Now I don't use any products and hope the color just stays the way it is.

Does hair coloring cause people to get more gray hair faster?

no that's just a myth your hair will go grey with age if it does

Does hair coloring cause people to get more gray hair faster?

No you just get split ends.

Does hair coloring cause people to get more gray hair faster?

no coloring does not cause more gray hair, it just seems that way

Does hair coloring cause people to get more gray hair faster?

it spoils your hair!"

Does hair coloring cause people to get more gray hair faster?

no, coloring doesnt cause greys.

you get grey hair as you age or when you are stressed out and think too much, you grey hair will come out...i cant even explain the latter.

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

I found my first gray hair 5 years ago. Now, I have several visible at a time and I get highlights to camoflage in my dark honey-blonde hair. It is not working so well anymore. When should I switch to full-blown coloring my hair?

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

I suppose it depends on how comfortable you are with aging.

Myself, I am only 33, but I have been coloring my hair for years just because I like to make my hair a darker reddish brown than it is. About a month ago I noticed a few greys in the front and at first tried just hiding them in my hair or thinking of them as highlights. The funny thing is, no one noticed them but me, and eventually I couldn't stand the thought of those few greys at my age, so I attacked them with my favorite color and feel much better.

On the other hand, I have a collegue at work that has long hair down to the middle of her back and you can see from the ends up where she started to grey and at the top where she's now mostly grey. She says it doesn't bother her and that she's earned every one of them.

So......like I said, I guess it really depends on how you view yourself and your level of acceptance in regards to your own aging. Do what makes you feel good about you!

Good luck! : )

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

why?

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

Never, gray hair is beautiful...

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

Dont

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

right now

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

When it really starts to bother, or when your hairdresser says it's time.

I'm 29 and do HEAVY highlights to cover all the gray I've got in hair the same color as yours. It's not perfect, but my boyfriend can't tell *wink*.

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

Never them gray hairs are nothing but sexy sweety, let them alone..Your friend from Tennessee...Rob..

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

It is entirely down to personal choice. If colouring ur hair would make u feel better then personally i would say go for it. I have been colouring my hair since i was 13 i am always changing it lol. I am now 30 and have not found any grey but i still colour my hair all the time. Good luck with whatever u decide to do. x

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

Try using a hair coloring product that is the same color as your hair that will color the gray. If you like it continue to color your hair. If you don't like it, no big deal as it will be the same color as your hair.

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

Well your grays are obviously bothering you. It's only a hair colour after all. Why not? I would.

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

Anytime you want to. Try to blend with a natural shade close to your to start with. Also a weekly rinse or semi perm Color to see if your like the shade before going for a perm color.

At what point should I start coloring my hair to cover the gray?

Any time you feel comfortable. If it's starting to bother you right now then ask your hairdresser to dye your hair to your natural honey blonde color and put in some highlights as well. One warning to you, it's gonna be a lot of money to keep getting rid of those grays.

Would hilights or coloring ruin my hair?

I have thick curly hair, kinda frizzy.

I straighten it every day.

Would coloring my hair be a really bad idea??

Would hilights or coloring ruin my hair?

I have thick curly hair, kinda frizzy, straighten it everyday...

I use that Loreal color expert with the all over color and highlights. I like it because you can control how much highlighting you use. It's the highlighting stuff (that lightens the hair thus bleaching it) that makes our hair even more dry and frizzy. I use the highlighting stuff on parts of my hair that I know won't freak out frizzy and dry. But the all over color and the conditioner that comes with it makes my hair really silky and shiny.

Good luck!!!

Would hilights or coloring ruin my hair?

probably

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

I have been coloring my hair for a long time, and now it just feels dry and "not pretty" anymore. It seems i can not get it to look nice no matter what..I assume there is too much damage. If i just go cold turkey and not color or anything except a trimming the ends, until it's all natural again, will it look normal again, or can it be damaged completely?

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

Yes, when You stop any type of chemical treatment to hair, it will grow back healthier.

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

Change the brand of coloring.

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

stop coloring it. new growth will come in nice and soft.

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

yes if you stop coloring them .. it takes 2 years to get your hair back to healthy looking ..

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

Your hair will grow back fine. You would have to damage the root of your hair (under your skin) to permanantly damage your hair.

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

Yes, it will. It's always a good idea to give your hair a break in between color treatments for a few months so you don't dry it out and fry it.

It's never damaged completely.. it will grow back beautiful again! ;-)

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

First stop coloring it. Then they have special conditioners for damaged hair. So get one of those. Dont start coloring it right away after it gets better. natural is always more healthier.

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

Will my hair grow back healthy, if i stop coloring it?

If you let it grow back out it'll be fine. What's damaged are dead cells and won't repair themselves, but they're replaced by new ones.

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

Why do you want to dye your dog's hair for?

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

why would you want to do that? isnt your dog adorable just the way he/she is?

Using food Coloring to Dye your Dogs hair color?

yes, food dyes are safe. you have to shampoo them (probably repeatedly) to get it out.

Kool aid or jello better. I used dawn.

I have a question about coloring my hair...?

I have dark hair, but for a while I've been coloring it light golden brown, which I really like, and everybody says it looks nice. The problem is when I go to color it, it's lighter where the roots have grown out, so it looks like I have a faint, lighter color stripe down along where my hair parts. How do I keep this from happening?

I have a question about coloring my hair...?

check the links below for * Hair coloring tips

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2006/...

I have a question about coloring my hair...?

It will eventually fade and blend into your existing dyed honey color. I'm not sure though.

I have a question about coloring my hair...?

when you apply color, start by just coloring the new growth at the roots...have a friend help if you need. then pull the color through to the ends for just the last 5 to 10 minutes of the processing time.

I have a question about coloring my hair...?

It depends on how old you are. If you have white hair growing out of your hair then you need to dye the whites a dark color first and then color you hair that lovely color everyone likes. Or if were you live there i a SALLY'S BEAUTY PRODUCTS, you can ask them they have this thing called hidden grays and you put it on your grays and then i will look fine {my mom uses it!!}

I have a question about coloring my hair...?

It sounds like you have "hot" roots. This is hard to explain, your ends are basically accepting the color faster then your roots. Could be from chemicals on you ends. You can try this, apply the color to your roots first so you roots have the color on it longer than your ends, giving the color longer time to penetrate into the cortex. Or you might need a "filler" if that's the case I would go to a professional salon and let them do corrective color.

I have a question about coloring my hair...?

I would go a pro and have them attempt to blend the color together so it looks more natural

I'm coloring my hair and I'm not sure what this means?

So I'm coloring my hair with Garnier 100% color, and when reading the instructions I noticed that it has two different ways to apply the product. One of the ways is for all shades except XL - 1 %26amp; XL - 4, the other is for XL - 1 and XL - 4.

Well my question is what does XL -1 and XL - 4 mean?

I'm coloring my hair and I'm not sure what this means?

XL-1 means extra light 1 level of lift from your natural hair color.

XL-4 means extra light 4 levels of lift from your natural hair color. whith that said if your hair is black thats a level 1, brown level 2, brown red level 3 and so on. if you are a light blond you are between level 9 or 10.

I'm coloring my hair and I'm not sure what this means?

Read the instructions for reading the instructions. JKING! I wish I new

I'm coloring my hair and I'm not sure what this means?

It's for a certain color. Check the box and make sure the color that you're using isn't either of those. I believe it's usually for dying your hair blonde but I'm not sure.

I'm coloring my hair and I'm not sure what this means?

look on the top of the box, there should be an area that sais like dark brown and then xl and a number. that will tell you what you need to do

I'm coloring my hair and I'm not sure what this means?

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed dow

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed down. Is that the problem? I have colored my hair a lot since I was 12. Is that what閳ユ獨 doing the damage or is it just normal for hair to grow slow after a couple years?

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed down?

its definitely the coloring. no doubt about it. try using just a color that will lift your hair a couple of shades, I have done this a million times and I know all about hair not growing etc. if you want to tell me your hair color I might be able to help you with the formula... I have dark brown hair and lighten it to a light, dark blonde and put blonde hightlights in the front and my hair has been growing like crazy!

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed down?

all of those years of colouring probably have caused some damage to your locks. Lightening is particularly damaging to the hair shaft, so if you are blonde, I would definitely advise giving your locks a well-earned break. I閳ユ獫e been lightening my hair for years and have recently gone darker. A few months on my hair is now thicker and in much better condition. If you are blond and can閳ユ獩 bear to part with your bombshell tresses at least try getting some lowlights to replace a full head of colour, and you may even gradually want to go darker. If you have dark hair already but still feel your colouring is causing damage, try and go for hair colour that rinses out eventually, so a semi-permanent rather than a permanent dye that grows out. You also need to get onto a really moisturising range, pick a range that your budget can handle and look for wording such as hydrating, rich, nutrients and so on.

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed down?

maybe the hair dye is waying down your hair...... try to not dye it for a few months(6)..........

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed down?

It's getting damaged, and it's breaking off while it grows, so it appears it's not growing at all. This is especially true if you are dyeing at a lighting color (stripping the color dries the hair out and damages it beyond repair)

I have a few suggestions:

Get regular trims to get rid of split ends

Change your conditioner to a formula that is made for damaged/processed hair

Stop coloring all together. Or, if you insist on coloring have it done professionally, so they can take care of your hair correctly.

:) I hope this helped! Good luck

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed down?

when ur hair is growing very fast its naturall.after applying colours the chemicalls has entered ur scalp which slows the rate of growing ur hair.i think its normall %26amp; there is no harm if it grows slow.

My hair used to grow really fast. Then all of a sudden when I started coloring my hair it slowed down?

firstly.. it could be hormones changing making your hair grow slower/faster.. secondly do you use a supermarket brand shampoo? if so dont.. there basically detergent and wreck your hair, this is bad if your hairs already light(light hair ususally meens it has to have been damaged as the could are stripped therefore your hair is weaker) and also, dying your hair darker doesnt make it healthier.. its just the way light reflect off blonde hair drawing your eyes to the imperfections where as with darker hair you cannot notice the imperfections as much and it doesnt look as dry. =)

What hair coloring product should I use to get Rihanna's brown hair color?

http://www.karinski.net/wp-content/uploa...

Loreal? idk What kind?

and what color weave would this be?

specifically...

What hair coloring product should I use to get Rihanna's brown hair color?

Umm Lauren...that color looks nice on Rihanna w/ her complexion the black you have now is what accents you or makes you pop more that browinsh color will just flush you out...not to mention color is not good for your hair...leave the color alone experiment w/ styling...

Why did the hair coloring make my hair lighter than the dye color?

Seriously -- I went with a color that is a little darker than my own, and now the dyed bits are lighter than the original color. Anyone else have this issue?

Why did the hair coloring make my hair lighter than the dye color?

The developer used to color hair actually lifts the color from your hair and the "dye" or tint deposits color.

Washing and sun and other daily elements will actually lighten or make the tinted hair lighter.

Why did the hair coloring make my hair lighter than the dye color?

I think you used bleach before you coloured your hair.

In that case, the colour wears out over time, for instance when you shampoo your hair, but the lighter colour of the bleached hair remains..

Why did the hair coloring make my hair lighter than the dye color?

Have you previously dyed your hair (perm? straighten?)? If yes, there will be spots that will hold more color than others...

Did you follow instructions carefully? Was this a very old box? Was the container opened and left to sit for days?

I had once, my hair go a diff color than on box. But mine was because of previous dye applications. (I didnt know my true hair color for yrs LOL)

Why did the hair coloring make my hair lighter than the dye color?

this means that your hair was originally to light to take the darker colour, and it needs to be done by a professional, because to darker your hair, you usually need to have a filler put on before the colour in order for it to take.

Why did the hair coloring make my hair lighter than the dye color?

You went wrong somewhere when you were dying it. How much did you use. Maybe try redying it the same color and see what happens.

Why did the hair coloring make my hair lighter than the dye color?

Something was wrong with either your hair and what has been previously done to it, or the color. The fact of the matter is, color you find in the store just isn't good, or reliable.

You will need to go to a salon to get this fixed. If you try to do it yourself again at home, you are only going to damage it further and make it look worse.

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

im coloring my hair right now and im leaving it on for 25 min like the box says but it hasnt changed any!! what do i do?? leave it on for 5 mor min?

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

Mine does the same thing so I have to leave it on for 45 min or more. I just leave the conditioner in my hair for at least an hour after.

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

it is ok to leave it up to 40 minutes - nothing drastic should happen

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

Ya leave it on some colors take longer........

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

just leave it in, for a while... until you see a change, but not more than 2 hours.

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

are you going lighter or darker??

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

If your scalp is burning wash out the color-if not you can leave it if for 40 min. thats how long I leave it in.

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

It depends on the brand of color you are using. I know that Feria stops developing after 25 minutes so nothing would be gained by leaving on longer, but nothing lost either. You can leave it on and see what happens but next time do a strand test. That way you will know exactly how long to leave in and what the out come will be.

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

Did you do a strand test? What color is your hair to start with? What color are you going for?

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

if it was store bought and close to your same color or lighter...it won't change it. It is probably temporary color

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

You can't really tell right now what the color is going to be. It'll look different once you rinse it and dry it. You can leave it on longer. But if it starts looking "dry" instead of creamy, rinse it out. The home coloring systems are designed to stop activating after a certain amount of time anyway, so you can't really leave it on "too long". Don't go any longer than 35 minutes though...it might alter the hair's texture too much if you do.

Coloring my hair!! HELP?

There isn't always a visible color change with the dye still in your hair. I would recommend rinsing it out and letting it air dry (blow drying is not necessarily good for just-dyed hair). If you don't think the color has changed enough, do it again. It's better to have to redo it, then to leave it in too long and damage your hair or end up with a drastically different effect than you were aiming for.

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

i dont want to ruin my hair by putting color in it all the time...sooo what should i do???

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

The only way to lighten your hair is to damage it. Sunlight, peroxide, lemon juice all have the same effect - they destroy the colour inside your hair, and leave your hair more brittle. If you want lighter hair then you're going to have to put up with the fact that your hair is going to be damaged by that.

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

you could try going out in the sun with lemon juice in your hair. It works but it stinks

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

I heard lemon juice will make it lighter but i don't know if that is true try it out then lemme know

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

Just go to the beach if you live near one. The sun bleaches your hair.

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

Use Crest teeth whitening strips.

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

If you rinse it realllly well, it should become a little lighter because the buildup of air products tends to make your hair darker. Also, you might want to put some lemon juice on it, and lay out in the sun for awhile, if it's hot right now where you live.

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

I had really dark hair too but then in the summer time is always went outside and then the sun automatically lighted it up even if I didn't want to.

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

The only way you're really going to be able to do that is by dying it. You could try putting lemon juice or beer in your hair but it won't noticeably lighten it. If you don't like the idea of dying, try highlights.

How do i lighten my dark brown hair without coloring it with chemicals?

lemon juice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hair Coloring Question....?

Okay, I'm a natural brunette/red mix and Im trying to decide between the two colors because i want just one certian color when I wake up, not two.

I have a fairly dark skin tone so either color works and wont make me look ghostly or unnatural like it would if I went blonde.

I want your opinion on what color would look best donned upon my scalp! :-)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/U...

(see how towards the back its red and in the front its a streaky brown and black? its insanity! lol)

Hair Coloring Question....?

Well Brunettes rule so any shade of that would suit you but i can tell you this, having had black coloring in my hair it will not easily come out!! I would put a brown shade in..let your natural grown back over and start with a fresh color in 7-8 months.

Hair Coloring Question....?

Brown is nice but i would go red. some people say red is out of style, it is way cool.

Hair Coloring Question....?

it don't know i would do just brown but the walls in the background of your photo really need to be washed and around the baseboards.

Hair Coloring Question....?

I have learned over the years that dying my hair has damaged it. I used to have beautiful, split end free thick hair, and now, I have split end, dry, hair. But, if you still want to dye your hair, I would go with a Carmel color, or a red that isn't purplish. Also, you should ask your hair stylist, she knows best for you. She has trained, and had experience with many other customers. I wish you the best of luck!

Hair Coloring Question....?

Your hair color is naturally beautiful.. Why change what your genetic makeup has been so generous with? It's a combination that millions of women try to achieve artificially (including myself) and we have to settle for a look that doesn't look entirely natural.

Revel in the insanity!

Hair Coloring Question....?

If you want a natural color, I think brown is better. Try to get a good brand and make sure that the shade does not have any red in it. Try Garnier Nutrisse hair color. What you see on the box is what you get.

Hair Coloring Question....?

Start out with high-lighting.This is the best way to work into any new color verses just dumping a color on your whole head and end up hating it-Plus highlighting is less damaging

I personally like Super light Blonde Highlites

Hair Coloring Question....?

i'm hearing you say you want all one even hair color, right?

it isn't natural looking, just so you know.

you can't decide on red or brown?

why not mix them?

use one developer from one box and fill it with water to make the volume of developer for the color not so harsh.

beautiful blending

Hair Coloring Question....?

Go for red!

My natural hair color is kinda like yours i.e. multishades, and I went for red. It's a fun color for summer and looks prettier than basic-everybody-you-see-on-the-street-ev... brown!

Plus you can choose from so many shades now! See how you'd look on garnier.com

Hair Coloring Question....?

If you want to dye your hair a different color I would recomend using a light golden brown. this will give your hair a lighter color, better luster, with minimal reddish tone highlights. Looks very beautiful on women with dark skin tones. Also still natural looking.

Does coloring your hair blond make it more wavy or curly?

Before I started coloring my hair, it was straight with body but very short. When I grew it out is when I started bleaching it very blonde. It is pretty wavy now. I don't know if growing it out caused the wave or if coloring it blonde did it.

Does coloring your hair blond make it more wavy or curly?

I think growing it caused it to wave =]

Does coloring your hair blond make it more wavy or curly?

Although color can alter the texture of you hair it can't really "make your hair curly". whether your hair is straight or curly depends on the bonds inside your hair. if your hair has gone from straight to wavy, its probably more due hormones and getting older.

Does coloring your hair blond make it more wavy or curly?

Often damaged hair loses its striaghtness. Perhaps colouring your hair damaged it too much. If that's not the case, then i'm not sure. :P

Does coloring your hair blond make it more wavy or curly?

Coloring usually doesn't cause curling, however there are many chemicals in the dye that can cause your hair to frizz. Especially if you are bleaching it. That usually causes at least mild hair damage. Make sure you always get your hair bleached by a professional. Try deep conditioning it or putting in a leave-in conditioner after each wash. This may tame it a bit.

Does coloring your hair make it better rather than bleaching?

Whenever I bleach my hair, its totally fried, but then once I color it, it feels alot more healthy. Is coloring it putting moisture back into it or what?

Does coloring your hair make it better rather than bleaching?

Coloring your hair and bleaching it are both drying and damaging to the hair. Bleaching is definitely worse-more damaging %26amp; drying- but coloring is not healthy either! Coloring is not putting moisture back into your hair. These are both chemical processes that damage the hair. Just make sure you use shampoo %26amp; conditioner for color treated hair and/or moisturizing shampoo %26amp; conditioner, and lay off the flat iron %26amp; blow dryer every so often.

Does coloring your hair make it better rather than bleaching?

Yes bleach is much worse than color...bleach is stripping your hair of everything, including moisture...Bleach is horrible for your hair. Heres some info on bleached hair.

Does coloring your hair make it better rather than bleaching?

Bleaching does take more out of your hair than dieing and Yea I've heard that dieing does put some moisture back into your hair I once had a friend that had the most gorgeous hair but she always died it a little darker than what it was because she thought it felt better and I have to say it made her gorgeous hair even more gorgeous!

Does coloring your hair make it better rather than bleaching?

How Are You Bleaching It? How Light Do You Go? Is It "Allover" Each Time, Or Do You "Root Retouch"? And Why Are You Coloring it Afterward? For "Toning"? Or Some Other Color Product? As For Your Question: YES, Bleaching Is A Little Harder On Your Hair Than Coloring. But It Dosen't Have To Be. Most People Don't Bleach (Or Color) Correctly- With Less Than The Best Results. Hair Colors Contain More Conditioning Agents And Less Alkali And Peroxide (The Ingredients That Do The Work) Than Bleach. Without More Info, All I Can Give Is Some General Advice: If You Want To Avoid Dryness Apply Bleach ONLY to The Roots When You Retouch, The Same With The Color Unless You Have A Lot Of Fading.Use A Deep Conditioner After Every Shampoo On The Week You Plan To Color. (DON'T Use A Deep Conditioner Right After You Color-It CAN Strip Fresh Color And Accelerate Fading) Use The Conditioner That Came With the Color. Or A Spray-On Leave-In Conditioner To Seal The Cuticle And Lock-In The Color.
