What should I do about my hair coloring?

I've been dying my hair at the salon for a couple years now. My hair now is bleached in the front and black in the back. I was thinking about just dying my hair all black at home to save some money. Is it a good idea, or should I just stick with the salon?

dont do it at home because it will not fully cover and the blonde will come through... and the stuff you buy is not as high quality as the salon and will actually damage your hair. stick to the salon

im just sayin to go to the salon and get it a brighter color than black people can be harsh and call you goth so be carefull.
