Hair coloring (bleaching)?

my hair colors brown-black but with a red tinge to it and i want to bleach it white to die it blond what are the chances of this working and have you tried it?

I would't start w/ bleach if you just want to go blonde. I am blonde with blonde highlights but my natural color( I think) is dark brown w/ a hint of red also. If you just want to be regular blonde and your gonna do this yourself, get an "ash blonde" it cuts that red so you don't end up with an orangy look. you don't need stripping if it's you're natural color.

it will work but only if you go to a salon and get it stripped professionally and then coloured professionally

I'm not sure if that would look good. If you want to change your hair color dramatically, go to your hair stylist. Don't do something like this by yourself.

umm you should really go to the saloon and have the hairdresser do it for you it will cost alot but would come out the way you want it i hope good luck :)

The chances of you having success at home? Zero. It is all dependant on your depth of color exactly, the texture of your hair, if you have any hair color on what so ever and overall condition of your hair. This all goes into the formulation of the product, plus a good application and timing well- done by a professional. Also, the maintence is killer. Meaning very time consuming and if you don't keep up it looks like poo. Perhaps consider having only a section done instead of the entire head. Best of luck.
