Hair color CAN expire. My uncle died his hair black and it came out a silvery color. It was just horrible! Haha. Funny though.

My advice for dieing your hair the first time would be to make sure you get a good company's hair die if you're dieing it yourself. And if you're going to a salon make sure that you get someone you trust. And maybe ask for their advice too. They can be real help. Last spring, when I died my hair, I was kind of nervous about it but it turned out to look really great! Good luck! I'm sure it will look awesome!

Ask yourself why you are dyeing your hair...once you start, especially if you are changing the color, even a little bit, you are going to have to keep doing it...I am not saying do not do it, but you will have roots and such to contend with. And...

First and the only advice that you should be listening to is to stop... DON'T do it yourself... its dangerous and consumers do not have the training and the ability to purchase the products that really work. Think about it.. if anyone can go in a buy the same box of color that is sold in the stores how can it really come out how it says it will on the box.. everyone has different hair texture, strength, elasticity, and natural color. This is my professional opinion...Please do not try this at home yourself... please just go to a salon.. and if you can't afford it... DON'T DO IT!!!
