Mom's hair is SUPER FINE.. she's in need of a nice coloring (blonde)?

What kind of shampoo/products do you recommend for FINE fair.. Please any help is appreciated!!

What's the best hair coloring (lightener) for fine hair???

-Thanks!! %26lt;3

Mom's hair is SUPER FINE.. she's in need of a nice coloring (blonde)?

My hair behaves in just the same way. It is thin/fine, just a little wavy, and is very affected by humidity. One of the girls at the salon I used to go to suggested TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey shampoo and conditioner to me a few years back. I used that for a few months and it worked okay, but not so well after that. Plus, it cost a little more than I liked.

Then, one day at school about a year back they were handing out goodie bags with cosmetic and hair products for some fundraiser. In it was a sample of Sunsilk Hydra TLC shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in moisturizer. I tried the sample and really liked it so I ended up buying it. That is seriously the ONLY shampoo I have used since! And it still works wonderfully!! It comes in a pink bottle and you can get the shampoo and conditioner for $3 each at Target. =) Good luck!

Mom's hair is SUPER FINE.. she's in need of a nice coloring (blonde)?

For lightening, try Frost %26amp; Tip, to frost, or bleach her hair. It will plump up some of her hair (the frosted part) but leave the other hair as it is, and that will be healthier than bleaching her entire head of hair. She'll get a little more volume out of this, it's easy to keep up, and after all, blondes have more fun!

Any recommended dark brown to black hair coloring brand for an Asian like me?

I 'd been using Bigen hair coloring for long time. Lately, I changed my brand and I noticed my hair gets stiff. Would any Asian ladies recommend me a brand, plase!

Thank you.

I'm Indian and use Loreal (because I'm worth it!)

How do i fix a temporary hair coloring mistake???

the roots are a beautiful auburn color... but the ends are pink!!!! anyone else had this experience? do i redo the ends only? i hate to attempt to strip it all out because hair gets fragile after a coloring and i don't want to do permenant damage... is a professional my only hope????

How do i fix a temporary hair coloring mistake???

u have a few options.. you can:

die your tips again

cut the tips off

show off ur new cool do.. pink is awesome

How do i fix a temporary hair coloring mistake???

Yes

How do i fix a temporary hair coloring mistake???

what color did you use? your hair is more than likely to pourous to take the hair dye....you are going to have to color it again but i sugges a permanent color bacuse the piment in the temporary colors are not strong enough for damaged hair. they are going to wash out after about 4 shampoos anyway and a permanent will only last about 2or 3 weeks on damaged hair before drasticly fading, if you wash it everyday

How do i fix a temporary hair coloring mistake???

keep washing it,.you said it yourself,.temporary color. Try Liquid Dawn dish soap. Do not RUB the hair together---that frizzes and breaks the ends.

How do i fix a temporary hair coloring mistake???

You could redo the ends again but to get an even color with the rest of your head is better to see a professional. Don楹搕 worry color products this days don楹搕 do much harm to your hair anymore, make sure you use a weekly treatment though.

How do i fix a temporary hair coloring mistake???

If it's just the ends that are pink get your hair trimmed. You will never match the ends to the roots if you recolor ends only ... You'd have to do it all over again.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

I have naturally dark brown ( almost black ) hair that's about 30% grey. I have been coloring over the grey for many years. Is there any good way to let the grey come in gracefully? I tried having it highlighted to transition the grey in but I thought it just made me look like a calico cat. The espresso brown I use now is pretty, but someday I'll just end up looking like an old lady who dyes her hair.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

have you tried getting lowlights. Get some strands coloured as dark as your natural, reverse highlights and then the grey won't show as much it you can gradually get your hair grey with less of a contrast. a lot of women and even me n have been using this method when they beign to go grey.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

The easiest color that I use at home is henna, which you can get in most shades.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

I don't think that there's other way.I think either keep coloring your hair or just let them be.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

The one thing you might think about is going to a slightly lighter color. Each time you color your hair, go slightly lighter. This will gradually bring your color closer to the (gray) lighter color you have coming in. Also, a lighter color softens your face as you do grow older. It doesn't look as harsh.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

The trick I've heard of is, as you age, go to a slightly lighter shade. My daughter, a hairdresser, estimates that I'm about 70% or more gray. We both think gray will only leave me with a washed out appearance. I think dyed hair can be attractive as long as the color is suitable and the cut is complementary.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

Go to Paul website.

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

First of all I would sug. going to a salon. Do not attempt box colors on your own.

Second explain to a prof. what it is your trying to achive.

Third of all Get hilites and lowlites. By this I mean one lighter color and one that matches closer to your natural. Have the prof. hilite with a level that isnt too dramatically lighter than natural color. For instance dont use platnum blonde if your hair is black.

Alternate hilite weave, leave natural, and lowlite weave on entire head. A weave is when the hair section to be foiled is broken up not solid. To do this you use a pintail comb and just catch small pieces of the hair to be colored in a catch leave patern. Good luck!

Does anyone have some tips on hair coloring?

low lights are alot easier to trasisition the gray back in

Should there be any time gap between Hair coloring with Mehandi and coloring with dye?

should there be any time gap between Hair coloring with Mehandi and coloring with dye?

Should there be any time gap between Hair coloring with Mehandi and coloring with dye?

yes Their should! never use henna on hair that has been recently dyed or proccessed in any way shape or form. You need to wait till the dye fades in your hair and no traces are behind,do a strand test to see if there will be any damage.Henna (Mehendi) does not react well with dyes, here is some info,I found on a website for hair.

If you are looking to colour your hair the natural way then often your first choice is the century閳ユ獨 old henna. But we have all heard the horror stories and most hairdressers seem to be very negative on this subject. So here, as usual, we attempt to give you both the pros and cons so that you can make an informed choice.

What can henna do?

Henna can make your hair darker and red orange in tone. Variations like Black henna will produce a blue/indigo tone for dark hair and Blonde henna a yellow tone on light hair.

Henna can be healthy for your hair strengthening and thickening it, smoothing the cuticle and generally making it more resistant to breakage.

What won閳ユ獩 it do?

It won閳ユ獩 lighten your hair.

It won閳ユ獩 make you hair fall out.

If used four or five times a year, henna is unlikely to damage healthy hair and it is suggested that it is not used more often.

Why does my hairdresser not like it?

Ammonia found in synthetic hair dyes (the ones your hairdresser uses) will react with metallic salts which are sometimes added to henna and due to mislabeling you cannot always be sure that the henna you used was pure (to avoid this dilemma always use only body art quality henna). The resulting possible green, excessively dry and brittle, or even melting hair that bubbles and fizzes and is unlikely to be attached to your head for long has understandably left some hairdressers very nervous. Metallic salts or compounds are the basis of the 閳ユオrecian Formula閳?also known as progressive colors so you may want to bare this in mind.

Hair treated with henna cannot successfully be permed (permanently waved) as the absorption time of the perming lotion is increased to such a degree that chemical damage of the hair will be caused way before any permanent curls can be produced.

The resulting colour of a henna treatment is very difficult to predict and normally when you visit a salon you expect a definite out come.

Poor training, education and availability of pure henna make it not the salon owner閳ユ獨 first choice when it comes to stocking henna.

Finally, it is a very time consuming salon process which means cost which has to be passed onto you the customer, often making out of many peoples price range.

What types and colour's of henna are there?

Red orange, red orange or red orange!!! So would you like red orange?

I閳ユ獡 not trying to be clever, just making sure that you got the message, because once you don閳ユ獩 want red orange hair when using henna then you are not using henna, real henna that is. You may see products labeled as henna or hear that henna from different countries of origin has different colour's but the truth is that the only differences you will get with real henna is that of intensity of red orange depending on the strength of the dye molecule in the henna you are using. This variation is because real henna is from a plant and as such it is affected by things like soil type and climate which differ from country to country.

To recognise real henna (also known as Lawsonia inermis ) it will smell like hay and be a green powder made from the leaves of the mature Lawsonia plant.

If you want to get different colour's and still be using a natural hair dye then your other options may still be called henna but actually be from other plants.

Black henna is actually made from the indigo plant, real name Indigofera tinctoria. Indigo is actually blue but great to intensify darker shades. It is also a green powder like real henna but smells for frozen peas.

Neutral/Senna henna ( also called blonde henna) made from the leaves of the Cassia obovata plant will as the name says be neutral in colour, but can in very high concentrations (when mixed with rhubarb root) give already light hair a yellow colour. It will help damaged hair and add to your hairs general health and gloss and is especially good with skin and scalp problems due to its many anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Also a green powder but smells more like cut grass.

After these 3 variations all other colour's are not only not henna they are not even natural. They may contain any thing from metallic salts to a developer even (a sure sign you have not purchased the real stuff).

Is henna permanent/will henna fade?

Yes henna is permanent and yes it will fade slightly. It is however as permanent as any permanent dye you can buy as all colour's fade, but henna does ten to fade to a lesser degree and won閳ユ獩 leave you brassy or bronze. The question really should be does it was or grow out and the answer is grow out.

Repeated applications of henna will produce a deeper and richer colour for you. A single one off application will tend to fade and lighten a little more.

It can be removed using mineral oil although I have never personally done this.

Can you be allergic to henna?

Although extremely rare you can be allergic to pure henna. I use the term pure because more often than not what appears to be an allergic reaction to the henna is in fact a reaction to something that has been pre-mixed into it. Additives can include PPD and metallic salts and due to lax regulations in some of the countries that supply henna it is often impossible to know what is contained within them without chemical testing.

An allergic reaction to pure henna may include a tight feeling in the chest, sneezing, itchy eyes, a runny nose, and/or a dry cough. The symptoms appear soon after exposure so if you think you might be allergic to henna, dab it in the crease of your elbow and wait one hour. If you do not have any symptoms within that time, you are not allergic to henna.

How do you use it?

Simply mix your powder with hot/boiling water to a mud like consistency.

Using gloves and dark towels etc protect your skin, clothes and environment as it will stain.

Apply to your hair in sections starting from the nape (check the temperature on the scalp at first). This is a very messy business, henna tends to be heavy on the hair making it difficult to separate and go back over sections already covered so make sure that you do each section thoroughly.

Wrap your hair in cling/clear/glad wrap followed by a towel to keep it warm and leave for as long as you want the longer the greater the intensity of colour. One to two hours is the norm though.

Is there any natural hair coloring (similar to henna) for dark blonde hair that will hide greys?

I would like to find a coloring for my dark blonde-light brown hair, that will cover my greys. I've got about 10% grey now and its becoming too obvious. I don't want to wreck my hair or make it feel like carpeting, when I used bleaches or dyes in the past thats how it felt. I think henna is often too red for my complexion but I liked how it made my hair feel. Does anyone know of a solution for me?

Is there any natural hair coloring (similar to henna) for dark blonde hair that will hide greys?

Even though I deal with henna, I have seen some customers say cassia obovata brings out their golden rays and after repeated use covers up some of the grey but it doesn't do a great job still because it does not have much of any dye. If you want to have brown tones you can use henna along with indigo, and even henna with coffee to tone down the red tones so it won't be so bright.

Also use only 100% pure henna powder (Body Art Quality is best and safest).

Other option I have had a customer explain to me, was vegetable based dyes. I saw a woman who had reddish highlights (like a strawberry blond) using veggies based dyes.

How can hair coloring be removed from a white wall?

Accidently splattered hair dark hair coloring on white bathroom wall

How can hair coloring be removed from a white wall?

i dyed my hair black last week and somehow managed to get it EVERYWHERE! i had wallpaper however. try finger nail polish, and then bleach!! both of these worked on my skin, tile floor, and bathroom counter. with a white wall, i wouldn't expect them to hurt it or discolor it. i would be careful, but it should do the trick on the wall. good luck!

How can hair coloring be removed from a white wall?

repaint/retile

How can hair coloring be removed from a white wall?

u cant remove it just peel of the paint and paint over it or if youre lazy just put a poster over it

How can hair coloring be removed from a white wall?

Retouch it with paint. It will work best.

How can hair coloring be removed from a white wall?

Peel off the paint

repaint

Its not too hard.

How can hair coloring be removed from a white wall?

Hahaha, that always happens to me. My mom uses bleach to clean it off counters, which works really well. But with walls, it's made of plaster so there's no other way to take it off other than painting over it. Since your walls are white, you can get relatively cheap white acryllic paint (not ACTUAL wall paint, but paint from craft stores that is think and not washable) and paint over it. I had to do this a couple of times. I recommend getting the acryllic paint that is no less than $5.00 a bottle/jar because the cheaper ones are thin and don't cover well. Go to Michael's or something to get the paint. It's like $7.00 I think.

Hair coloring Q's?

i want to dye my head top black and bottom tipped a red. whats the best way to do this. also i want to chemically straighten my hair, should this come before or after coloring?

Hair coloring Q's?

This can really damage your hair. I relaxed then died my hair and it broke off. However, I know the waiting period is realx then two weeks later dye it. Be careful though. I just got my hair back to normal after a year.

Hair coloring Q's?

Go to a beauty college. They will do your hair for like $40 for two colors.

Hair coloring Q's?

depending how long your hair is and what type, it's difficult. you can majorly damage your hair. but you do want to straighten it before you color. but if i was you i would wait weeks after i straighten it to color it. as far as coloring it, use a highlighting cap, it usually only pulls the top hair out of the cap, dye it then wrap that hair up and then dye the bottom. just be careful using so much color at one time.

Hair coloring Q's?

hi!... straighten your hair before you apply hair dyes.... both could damage your hair... take time for your hair to relax first...afterwards your hair can gone through another application of chemical solution...

How can I ease out of coloring my hair?

I've been coloring my graying medium brown hair a dark blonde for years, but now want to stop coloring. How can I gracefully transition back to my natural hair color?

All I can think of is letting all the color grow out of it and cut it??

How can I ease out of coloring my hair?

Gradually dye it back to your natural colour each time you dye your hair.

How can I ease out of coloring my hair?

try just higlighting it a little bit darker than the blonde you were using at the roots and slowly just let it grow back out with just highlights until you can stop coloring it altogether

How can I ease out of coloring my hair?

Color it the color of your natural color so when it grows out, it won't be as noticeable. Keep it trimmed at least every 6 weeks until it is grown out.

If you dont what your doing ... your gonna kill your hair. DOnt even try to *bleach* out the black or take out the hair colour. Many of these dont work!

I hear washing with laundry detergent helps. I've tried it, but other than that, washing it out and not using the shampoo that preserves dyed hair. After a few days, i used my straight iron and that helps fade it a bit too.

How do i fade balck hair coloring??

I know this sounds crazy but it does work. Take a pimple solution a rub it with a tissue on the part of your hair you want to fade. It really works! My friend did it after her hair stylist dyed her hair the wrong color... *oops!*

Shampoo after hair coloring?

After coloring your hair and rinsing it out- Do you shampoo it?

Shampoo after hair coloring?

not on the day you dyed it and the day after that. buy a color shield shampoo and conditioner. i suggest garnier. so the color won't get off easily and would last a long time.

Shampoo after hair coloring?

No, you shouldn,t was it for a couple of days. It is okay toput a rinse out conditioner on your hair.

Shampoo after hair coloring?

They always do at the salons to get the color residue out.

But... after you shampoo after coloring, don't shampoo for 2 days . thats what they mean.

Shampoo after hair coloring?

if you're talking at-home color, no need to shampoo, just use some of the conditioner that they provide.

for professional color...don't shampoo for a day or two after getting it done.

Shampoo after hair coloring?

Yes shampoo will neutralize the peroxide and stop the chemical process. If you don't shampoo, it could continue to process and severly damage your hair. Just don't shampoo after that for 24 hours

Shampoo after hair coloring?

After I first dyed my hair I only washed it with the conditioner that my hair coloring kit came with.

I wish it in 2 days with shampoo and some of the color came out.

I also got shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair, and that seems to be helping to keep the color in.

Hair coloring on thin hair results that last?

After I get my hair colored my thin hair looks thick and healthy and holds a style, but it does not last. How can I make the eftects of coloring last to keep my hair this way?

Hair coloring on thin hair results that last?

Well when u dye ur hair it'll never stay as long as u wish it to, but u could always try using a leave in hair conditioner. I use a leave in hair conditioner called Results(by Charles Worthington) and although it leaves my hair looking healthy im not sure if it would work for this sort of situation. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I hope that works.

Hair coloring on thin hair results that last?

whenever you dry your hair, blow dry upside down. Then, take a straightener and straighten the ends only.

My hair's thin and if I straighten all my hair (on top too) it looks so thin, hence the straighten-only-on-ends rule.

At home hair coloring advice?

I colored my hair a medium brown( to cover outgrown highlights) and applied copper highlights using Herbal essences for dark brown hair. However, I dislike the all over copper look I now have, especially on the crown of my head. I am wondering if I should start over from the base color and use Loreal's Highlight Styliste(I have used this before with good results for Dark Hair) or leave the base out and add definition with the highlights. I am usedto coloring my own hair with the help of my sister. However 4 mths ago I decided to let a professional go all out and she lightened the base color on the crown of my head only then applied highlights. That is why, even though I coloredthe base before, it was not as dark as it should have been at the crown, so when the copper lights were added, the top of my head looked allcopper. Please suggest what I should do to add definition. I KNOW professionals are the best but in my country they seem to be NON existant. Thanks!

At home hair coloring advice?

I color my own hair too, a tradition started my first year in college when I was poor! LoL but I have learned that the best highlighting kits or even coloring kits come from a beauty supply store and not a store like a walmart becuase those colors always lie. If you dont start over from the base color you will have uneven color all over so I suggest all over color to get the base even then going back with a different highlighting kit, the one you know works if you cant get to a beauty supply store.

If I knew what kinda look you were going for I might have some more help.

At home hair coloring advice?

color your hair all one color and leave it alone. the more u mess with it the more u will be dissatisffied. don't ruine your hair. its better to have silky solid color than to have crunchy broken multi color. give it a rest and just deep cond. it

At home hair coloring advice?

It seems to be you probably have a cool skin color not liking the copper color

Try dying it a ashbrown

hope this helps

Hair coloring question! help?

Ok, so about a week + a day ago, I dyed my hair from it's natural medium brown/red to dark brown. In just a few days, almost all the color has faded out! Yes, I used a permanent dye. I did travel to L.A. though, so maybe the sun bleached my hair or something?

So basically, I'm just wondering if coloring my hair again is going to damage it severely....I have fairly thick, wavy hair.

Thanks!

Hair coloring question! help?

Wash your hair and do not use conditioner. Let it dry and then color...or let your hair get really dirty and then color. Some conditioners prevent the absorption of hair color, and color works better with dirty hair.

I have the same texture of hair that you have, and I've found that dyeing it a second time within a short time frame is fine. It will make it shiny and more manageable.

Hair coloring question! help?

if i was you i would wait a few more days before coloring it again. IT shouldtnt damage you hair much more than it already has because dark colors are conditioning colors

Hair coloring question! help?

it could be the shampoo you used to wash your dair just redye it i dont know why it faded but if it happens again try going to a salon

Hair coloring question! help?

all hair dyes do dat um use a condtionar that is meant to keep the colour good

Hair coloring not taking effect?

i got a perm in may of 06',about a month or so after that i dyed my hair black(my natural is almost black) I have tried to do another perm(about 6 months or more after the first one) because the first perm didnt have the curls i wanted(too small),so I tried for larger curls, but after trying 3 times,(luckily with test strands)and my hair turned orange(no success) i gave up.Now I just dyed my hair a spice color and all that took effect were my bangs, and top part of my hair and some parts IN between. Why is this happening? I never had any trouble in the past with perming nor coloring till I got the perm in may.

Someone please helpppp

Thanks

Hair coloring not taking effect?

Be glad you still have hair to b#$*^ about, Your hair is over-processed, it's like there are hole in your hair strands and the color molecules "fall out" A semi permanent color would be better for your hair AND will hang on to damaged hair better. Deep condition...use semi color...and give your poor hair a break

Hair coloring not taking effect?

Check the instructions for applying dye. Maybe you've overprocessed your hair, and it won't absorb dye anymore. Ask your favorite hair stylist.

Hair coloring not taking effect?

The chemicals from your perm havent grown out yet and all the damage youre adding to your hair is taking its toll. Stop dying it, stop perming it, and you should get it cut 5 inches from your roots so it can grow out healthy again. Good luck.

Hair coloring not taking effect?

Well, you cant perm your hair for a while now..Let it rest..But you need to get the color straightend out..Go to a shop that uses Matrix Color sync. Its not a permanant color...I think the problem you were having were too many chemicals and over processing has led you to this mis configured color..After your consultation go into a good conditioning program to get your hair back to health...good luck

New hair coloring before school?

i want some new color in my hair

before school starts

my hair is died black

and my brown is coming back in

and its fine because it looks cute

but i want to add some carmel and red in my hair

my hair is naturally curly so when its wet

it might not look so good i dont know.

my hairs in a couple layers

and a mohawk so maybe i should

put some color in that

but its not up all the time

so when its down its either tucked back in

bobby pins or down and curly

so i need some coloring ideas

for when i go to the salon

any tips would be sweet thnks 閳?br>New hair coloring before school?

Long Hair makes you look young.

The idea of a cute cut on curly hair is ideal

You may want the roots back black with a frosted look streak of blond or auburn red small rinse Barbie streaks that you can rinse out of the black and change.

You sound young and the Indian Mohawk is a shocker and you need to conform to the system not rock it. In school you will be a outcast or distraction... You want to be social but not with more problems....Wait until college or you are on your own to find yourself and try things.

New hair coloring before school?

i wouldn't go for a mohawk with curly hair, itll be more trouble than its worth. maybe a brown undertone wtih some red highlights. but black is VERY HARD to get rid of. i had to professionally strip my hair, it cost like 200 bucks, and even then the black didnt really come out. i still have problems with my hair actually taking the color.

What hair coloring product should i use if i have black hair wanting to go red?

My hair color is a dyed black hair and it is fading out and i am thinking about dying my hair red but i dont want it to be a auburn color.

What hair coloring product should i use?

What hair coloring product should i use if i have black hair wanting to go red?

If your hair is already dyed black you can't go lighter unless you go to a professional to have the black color lifted with bleach then the new color can be applied. I would not recommend this. It is very, very damaging to the hair. This is not a procedure you can do at home....consult a professional

What hair coloring product should i use if i have black hair wanting to go red?

im the same... i think it may have to be pre-lightened first!! im bothered bout the roots being really nice red and the rest of it looking faded!! hope we find the answer... haaa

What hair coloring product should i use if i have black hair wanting to go red?

Yes, it's true, haircolor will not lift/lighten haircolor. You will have to use bleach to lighten the faded "black" to a desirable red shade. It is a very tricky procedure and extremely difficult to do at home. If you are on a budget and cannot afford this corrective haircolor procedure *this is corrective color and is more expensive), then visit a Beauty School for the service. Beauty Schools tend to be much less expensive than a Salon, as services are rendered by students, and supervised by Instructors.

The other option you have is to simply have highlights added to your hair to lighten specific strands vs your entire head. After the highlights are finished, your hairdresser can apply a demi-permanent haircolor over the highlights to give you the red shade you want. The red could also be applied over the faded black to even out the color and add a hint of red. If you don't like auburn, I suggest you go with a Red-Violet based red that will give you a cool red/plum shade.

Hair coloring: when can I re-color my roots again?

I've been coloring my hair dark brown for a while now using Garnier brand. Last nite I colored again, but with a different brand (Herbal Essences) and for some reason my roots didn't take so well and are now more red than brown while the rest of my hair is the color I wanted (dark brown). It seems that I should re-color my roots... but when is it safe to do it again? Is it best to wait a week or two?

Thanks for all your answers:)

Hair coloring: when can I re-color my roots again?

get a root touch up kit with no ammonia and do it in a few days so your hair can react to the dye chemicals from last night

Hair coloring: when can I re-color my roots again?

Usually you should re-dye your roots when they start to show. That usually takes about 2-3 months.

Hair coloring: when can I re-color my roots again?

Well, did you wash your hair before you dyed it? Your hair should be dirty when dying your hair so it holds color better. If your roots were showing before you dyed it, then that means it was 2 different colors. Your natural hair color and the dark brown fake color. When you applyed the dye to your natural color [at your roots] it's going to turn a different color hun.

You should wait about 3-4 weeks before doing it again.

Hair coloring: when can I re-color my roots again?

Well sometimes its a bit dodgy when you suddenly change the brand of hair colorant, but waiting a good 6 weeks everytime you dye your hair is really good for the condition of your hair. Or if you give up with your hair the hairdressers will put it right for you. byeee!

Hair coloring: when can I re-color my roots again?

No!!! If you go a week or two you can damage your hair!!! You should go like every 2-3 months or so. For good coverage though it's probably best to go to a salon and have a professional do it. It comes out as the way you want it more than trying to color it yourself.

My plan for coloring my hair!?

I've decided that I'm going to be going to a hairstylist! No more bottled hair color for me...

I'm naturally a dirty blonde/dark ash blonde, but I love dark hair, and have been dying my hair dark for quite a while.

I want to give my hair a break from coloring, while still being happy with some dark color.

I want to have the majority of my hair dyed my natural hair color, and having the paneling effect, with some dark dark brown.

I've provided some photos of my current hair and the main idea of what I want. Keep in mind, the photos of what I want are not the exact colors I want, but it's the idea! =)

My plan for coloring my hair!?

Go to a Salon .....they are trained ....and the color in a salon seems so much better than when you try and do it...and if you have mixed hair color now and you want to make it different shades I think you should have a hairstylist do it so you are happy and your hair is healthy

Hope this was helpful ~~~

Good Luck!

My plan for coloring my hair!?

you would defintely look good with all red hair but the natural red color. but with the pictures you posted of what you want.....i wouldnt recommend getting the blonde all over, only because you already have dark hair right now, the blonde would end up looking funny without ALOT of fixing it. If you do get pink/ red in your hair as highlights, they fade really fast!! red molecules are alot bigger than black or brown and dont absorb into the hair as well causing it to fade quicker!

I'd go the blonde and brown pictures, just reverse it...make your base color brown and add in the blonde that style.

its your choice though and i hope your happy in whatever you choose!!!

My plan for coloring my hair!?

Honestly, I'd go for Honey Glaze %26amp; Hot Fudge over bubblegum. I think it looks better.

My plan for coloring my hair!?

i like the colour but i would put some high lights in ,say blond or some thing like that.

Questions about home hair coloring?

I was thinking about coloring my hair at home. I had hi lights once, and they are fading, so is it safe to color it? Will it turn out two different colors? My hair right now is black with a very light brown/golden, and I wanted to use Clairol's Hydrience Mocha Splash, a medium brown, to color my hair. I've never fully colored my hair, so I don't want to damage it or anything by coloring it. Also, I was reading some articles, about allergic reactions, so I'm having second thoughts. I've had hi lights before and I seemed fine. My whole family dyes their hair a lot and they also seem fine. What do you think I should do? And one last thing, my hair is pretty long, about half way down my back. Should I buy two boxes just in case?

Questions about home hair coloring?

it is fine to dye your hair.. it is the bleach from hlights you should be concerned about... if it survived that then youre fine. THe only think about dying highlights is that they wont come out the same color as all the rest of your hair. I would suggest dying you hair (all of it ) the color you want... the color will probably fade within a few days in the areas you had it hilighted. You can always go back a few weeks later and redye it dark and it should blend in better

I have average thick hair and it does to like my arm pits and i use 2 boxer for mine if i get the regular store hair dye... i usually get my dye at sally beauty supply the quality seems better and color stays better in my personal experience. as for allergic reactions... you can try a test- most have instructions on how to do so.. basically you put a dab of the color on your arma nd see if you have a reaction in a couple days. Most likely it wont be a problem- if you have hilighted before it shouldnt be a problem.

Questions about home hair coloring?

i think you should do it. your hair will be fine but you do have to deep condition your hair after your dye it because it's damaging. yes you should buy two boxes cause your hair is long and one box won't do it.

Questions about home hair coloring?

Buy two boxes, I have hair the same length as yours, and I need two boxes. You should have no problem coloring your hair, even over highlights. It won't turn out two different colors, though you will have a very slight variation in color, but it will make your hair color look less fake and more natural. Also, allergic reactions are very rare, but if you feel a need, there are instructions included about how to test to see if you're allergic.

When to color hair after last coloring?

How long is it ok to color hair after the last coloring..? I colored mine two months ago and i bought another to color, hoping today. Is it safe to do so this soon?

The last coloring i bought said it is supposed to be permanent hair color but it is all washed out, does hair color wash out this soon?

And i just bought the same brand i used last time because i liked the color, in which i will use for sure again...

When to color hair after last coloring?

Even permanant colour fades after time- I think reds are the most prone to fading. There is no real problem with colouring your hair straight after applying a different colouring if that's what you wish to do- but be warned if it is lighter than your previous one there is a good chance that you will be able to see regrowth from your previous colour. If you do wish to colour your hair frequently I would suggest you use a semi permanant one- they are kinder to your hair, and the regrowth is less obvious as the colour fades more

When to color hair after last coloring?

hey, people think that coloring your hair is gonna damage but thats not tru!! thats wht i tell my clients

its the way you take care of it what solution to use!

When to color hair after last coloring?

You should be ok to recolour. However, your last colour could have appeared washed out for a few reasons. Hair colour fades more quickly if the hair is dry and porous. If it has had lots of sun on it(iknow-chance would be good) or if you are using an anti-dandruff shampoo. 'Red' tones of colour also fade quicker than most. If the colour hasn't washed out completly try to apply to the regrowth first for 10 mins and then apply to mid lengths and ends of the hair for the remaining development time. That way you won't overprocess your hair as much.Hope i was useful.

When to color hair after last coloring?

I know many people who dye there hair every 3 months. I personally do it. I think 2 months is ok and if it's all washed out or almost all then i dont see a problem. I am not great with things like this though. Hope someone more knowledgable can help.

When to color hair after last coloring?

use the hair dye which has no ammonia in its ingredient! wait after a month

xxx

When to color hair after last coloring?

yes colour today and it will be fine. ive coloured mine loads of times as have my friends and we have all dyed it a certain colour were not keen on and gone out and bought a new colour to put on the next day. so dont worry it will be absolutely fine, if anything just always condition your hair well.

When to color hair after last coloring?

It is definitely okay to color again now. Your hair color should not be completely gone after two months if it was permanent. However, it could have had considerable fading. Try using shampoos and conditioners intended for color treated hair. I use permanent hair color, and I do it once a month. You don't have to wait more than a week between colorings, so long as your hair is well conditioned. If it is damaged, you should wait until it is in better condition. I have found that 4-6 weeks is the best amount of time to wait between hair colorings, depending on the difference between your dyed hair and your natural hair. The more drastic the difference, the sooner you should recolor. Email me with any additional questions that you may have. I have many years of hair dying experience.

Best at home hair coloring kit for result of dark brunette color?

I've been searching through websites of different brands for at-home hair coloring kits. My hair color right now is sort of a mousy brown and I'm looking for a really rich dark chocolate-y brunette color from a kit. Does anyone know of a good brand that would give me this result?

Hair coloring issues, help!?

I went into the salon asking for golden blonde coloring throughout my hair, when I left, my hair was WHITE. I was upset, so I put on a medium blonde semi-permanent blonde with brass toners to help tone it down. Well now, my hair is a very dirty dishwater blonde, kind of "mousey" looking. I don't want to mess with anymore hair dye, because I'm afraid my hair will start breaking. Is there any shampoo I can use to speed up the process of really lightening this semi permanent ugly color?? I know of ones like Sheer Blonde and the Sun Silk color boost stuff, but I've tried these in the past and wasnt impressed. Any ideas?

When it comes to coloring hair, can two different hair dyes be used?

Am thinking of coloring my hair. When useing a home hair coloring kit, can two different color tones be used on my hair? Like for example, coloring the upper part of my head of hair a darker color and the lower back part of my hair a lighter color on lower section of the head. Any good tips or good ideas from anyone out there taht knows hair dyeing techniques? I want to do this myself, if I can. Dont have the funds to go to a beauty parlor. I am wanting to use the Loreal hair color. Dark colors. The person that can come up with the most helpful advice will be chosen, but please, without all the links and the "go to this web page and that web page", type of stuff. Can anyone help with good positive input on this? Please. Thanks so much.

When it comes to coloring hair, can two different hair dyes be used?

yes you can and i will give you as much information as i possible can but first you will need to tell me how long is the hair

have you any colours in it (and i mean at all in the past few years even temporary ones)

when did you last have it cut

what is the natural colour

what colour are you going to use on it

you could if you like go to the parlor and ask them if you can view the colour chart and pick out the colours that you like and tell me them with the other information i can give you professional advice and a few tips on how to best achieve a great outcome

mail me here to markhenderson72@yahoo.ie and i will do what i can to help

When it comes to coloring hair, can two different hair dyes be used?

You will need a friend's help. Part and separate the top and bottom sections of your hair. Make sure the part is even. You're going for edgy, not messy. Color the top section of you hair first. Be vigilant that it doesn't drip on bottom section. Lean forward to rinse WELL (clear water). Pin up top section. Do same to bottom except lean back to rinse.

When it comes to coloring hair, can two different hair dyes be used?

ok, yes two colors aas long as they are close in the colors it will work. but remember something, if you mix a dark color and a lite color, mostly the darker color will take more power and the color of your hair will probably be darker than lighter.

what i would suggest you to do is the following. dye your hair with the darker shade first. then wait a week. then pay a color which matchs the one you have on your head, just slightly lighter. then dye your hair again and see what happens. if the hair color is still too dark and you want it lighter, again wait another week and try a lighter color again.

also instead of the loreal dark colors, in a drug store or large discount stores, they carry color kits that bring the color plus a set for highlights. you can try this too. you dye the hair and then just before put the highlight parts on the hair and follow the directions.

When it comes to coloring hair, can two different hair dyes be used?

I think the best way to achieve this is to section the hair into 2 sections exactly the way you want to color it. I would apply the lighter color first because your lifting and depositing color. Separate the two sections with foil or a plastic cap. Do the top section and watch the process time for both applications. The darker color you can apply from root to end the lighter color you have to apply to shaft (middle) first then go back and apply to roots and pull through the ends. (usually about 20-25 minutes after application. Good Luck

When it comes to coloring hair, can two different hair dyes be used?

You can use two different dyes if you're going to color your hair in this method. First make sure both colors are by the same company. Section your hair really well because you don't want them to mix together. I really suggest you do the lighter color on the bottom first then wait 3 days and do the darker one on top. I say this for three reasons

1) Usually when you go lighter the color has a bleaching agent in it (especially blond) and you definetly don't want to mix this with a dark color

2) when you rinse the colors out you dont want them to mix and you end up with streaky hair. It's always easier to see the front and top of your head than it is the back

and 3) you don't want your hair to fall out!!!

Mixing colors will definetly do that. If you let me know what two colors you're going to do I can walk you through it step by step. OH! I am a licensed cosmetologist. Have been for 10 years now and one of my specialties is color.

Exotic hair coloring question...?

My school has a rule against a person coloring their hair 'un-natural' colors.. (green, blue...pink.) Yet we also have a 'break a rule day' where students are allowed to color their hair temporarily.. I wanted to dye my hair rainbow-ish, but I am unsure as to how long it would take for the coloring to wash out...or what I should use. I know there are those weird spray colors...but I've always thought that they make the wearer's hair look.. stiff and rather odd..

...I am unsure if there were other options for me.. like some sort of quick fading packet of brightly colored dye.. ..

(I have natural blonde hair, so the 'quick-fading' part is rather essential..)

In all honesty? I'm just confused and looking for some sort of a helpful answer..

Thanks!

Me-

Exotic hair coloring question...?

You can probably get temporary hair dye that'll wash out in 3-4 shampoos at Sally's Beauty Salon or something.

Exotic hair coloring question...?

Why don't you just break a different rule; like the rule you have to show up for school!

Exotic hair coloring question...?

welllll.

there is some temporary hair dyes.

unfortunately[in your case], the hair dyes don't wash out after a day or two.

they last about 4-6 weeks.

i'm not sure if you can find hair dyes that wash out immediately, because the companies who do make hair dyes know people want them to last as long as possible.

haha.

well.

i guess you might want to use the sprays.

just don't put too much and i don't think it'll come out too stiff.

it's sorta like colored hairspray.

p.s you're school has a strict rule .that's not fair; haha

Exotic hair coloring question...?

Look around for temporary hair dye :)

Hair coloring and highlights.?

hi, last month, i colored my hair brown, with golden brown highlights. but i want to change it back to my natural hair color (which is black) and put white highlights on it. so that means, i have to color my hair again in order to turn it into black, right?? my question is, could this be bad for my hair? -- coloring a hair again that was previously colored?

Hair coloring and highlights.?

It is possible that constant coloring treatments would damage the hair, but if you want to change it back to black, then use a gentle hair color and definitely wait for the white highlights--at least a few months, because that could really wreck the hair. It might also be wise to get a trim after you dye your hair back to black. Most stylists and people with enough experience advise others not to color over recently or previously colored hair because it could come out not exactly how you wanted it. The best thing to do would be to consult a stylist, though. I've colored over previously colored hair and it turned out fine, so if you want to go ahead and do that, then do so at your own risk. Good luck.

Hair coloring and highlights.?

no it should be fine

Goodluck鈾?br>Hair coloring and highlights.?

No worries dear :)

I've done it dozens of times. Just make sure you use a conditioner to rehydrate.

:) 鈾esse鈾?br>Hair coloring and highlights.?

I've colored my hair about 12 times (no joke) and i've had it so many different colors. Including the color you are talking about now. Then I died it to a dark brown(which turned out to be black) so dont worry. But I wouldn't go by what the boxes say, get it done proffesionally, it may cost more, but it will turn out better. Krista

Hair emergency! I tried a hair coloring treatment and now my hair is blonde and icky orangy red. Wha

My hair is naturally dark brown. People always said I'd look good blonde cause I've dyed it blonde few years ago and I was blonde til I was about 10. Well, I had dyed my hair brown because I wanted to keep the vibrant color instead of the medium brown I had. I haven't dyed my hair in quite a while and my roots growing in looked very similar to the hair dye I had in from a long time ago cause of it washing out, ect. Well I wanted to try the Clairol: Born Blonde that is meant for basically any hair color, including black. It's suppose to make even the darkest hairs look blonde. Well I did the best I could with it and I normally do good coloring my hair, but now my hair is bright blonde on the top and reddish orange for the rest. Its two very different colors and they don't blend well. I need to fix it! Do I get another box and color just the bottoms to lighten them or what do I do?? I can't afford $100s like some people spend. I'm a waitress, I work tomorrow and must look decent.

Hair emergency! I tried a hair coloring treatment and now my hair is blonde and icky orangy red. What to do!

actually the better color for a hair is ur natural color.. u live for that for a long time and some people love it....dont do experimental about hair coloring bcoz u will suffer some day....like going bald. just be natural...beauty comes from within.. and be comfortable what u've got....thanks

check out this page i made while useing loreal color zap, i found it while tryingto lighen my dyed black hair to a brown, no one eles had document their results with before and after pictures that i could find so i went ahead and did it Report It

Hair emergency! I tried a hair coloring treatment and now my hair is blonde and icky orangy red. What to do!

Yeah i know how you feel like my hair is naturally blonde and i dyed it brown then black and when i got tired of it i wanted my hair blonde again so i bleached it and it totally messed up and i looked like a sunburst guitar black on the ends red in the middle and blonde as hell on the roots but i just had to dye it black again but since yours has no black in it you could probably just get bleach and then bleach it blonde and then color it what shade of blonde you want!! good luck!!!

Hair emergency! I tried a hair coloring treatment and now my hair is blonde and icky orangy red. What to do!

Hair at the scalp colours, and bleaches quicker than the rest because of the warmth of your skin, it dries the hair quicker. Plus that and I always start on the scalp, so that's probably why it goes brighter, or bleaches more also.

I would suggest going to the hairdresser, they deal with these issues all the time. If you use another bleach on your hair it will more than likely do it more damage, causing breakages and the likes. Either that or put a brown colour through it, and wait til your hair picks up in condition before trying the bleach again. Maybe try highlights first, to be more subtle, and then gradually go lighter and lighter.

But biggest suggestion would be hairdresser.

get a semi permanent hair color. You know the ones that wash out because if you dye it again it will dry it out and the semi permanent won't hurt your hair. Get a light brown or something good luck

Dye it black or dark brown.

Hair emergency! I tried a hair coloring treatment and now my hair is blonde and icky orangy red. What to do!

professional hairstylist here.

color makes color go dark. bleach gets color out.

color the roots the color of the ends first to get one color. use 1/2 the developer and 1/2 water to make it less harsh. the color will still deposit into the root area - don't worry.

once you have one color (even if it's an ugly color) then go to a salon and have a color wash done. this should give your hair some kind of dimention and give it a nice color (for your skin) and a glossier finish.

this should help keep down the cost, HOWEVER, once the stylists in your town know that you color your hair all the time (by yourself) they WILL start charging you OUT THE ASHS.

(so don't do it.)

Hair emergency! I tried a hair coloring treatment and now my hair is blonde and icky orangy red. What to do!

Your roots are bright blond and the bottom is reddish orange. I have no idea why a professional hair stylist is telling you to do the roots again. It sounds like you need to just redo the part that is reddish orange, that part has more color in it that needs to be taken out to make your hair a more consistent color all over, then you can put a toner on it to make it more of a natural color.

Hair coloring for sensitive skin?

I have sensitive skin and skin allergies. But, I really need to put some color in my hair, semi-permanent would be fine. Does anyone have any recommendations for a gentle hair coloring product, or one that they had good luck with as far as no skin reactions? Thanks.

Hair coloring for sensitive skin?

I've always had good luck with Clairol and Loreal.

But do a skin test with it before you do it, just in case. You should make sure you'll be ok before you cover your head with it.

Also, when coloring, keep an old towel handy and wipe away any color that gets on your skin (ears, neck, face, etc)

Definitely do the skin test first though to keep yourself ok!

Hair coloring for sensitive skin?

Hair coloring for sensitive skin?

loreal natural match is a permaneant haircolor with no ammonia and its made with some natural ingredients, i haven`t tried it yet but its supposed to be pretty gentle, if your still concerned why don`t you try consulting a trusted hairdresser about it. good luck!

Hair coloring for sensitive skin?

Well apart from something using a cream peroxide as opposed to liqued peroxide, I'm not sure.

One thing I would strongly advise though is that you try a little patch test on the inside of your wrist first and leave the product on for the length of time it says to on the box and wait for 24 hours at least to see how you are effected.

You could also put vaseline around your hairline on your skin... not your hair to help protect that.

Are you really sure you must colour your hair? Be careful honey.

Hair coloring for sensitive skin?

I use Redken Shades EQ, which is semi-permanent hair color. I have very sensitive skin , and have to be really careful with make up and moisterizers, but Shades has never bothered me.

It is a professional product, so you can't buy it in stores. What I did was to have it done in a salon one time to see what color to get and how to apply it, then I ordered the stuff on ebay to do myself at home.

I want to remove hair color build up due to years of semi permanent coloring.?

I have natural medium brown hair, I have colored my hair every two months (for the past 2 1/2 years) with a semi permanent dark reddish brown. Since it is depositing so much color, my ends (that have been previously colored, I ran the color through every other time) have become too dark, almost black. I didn't think semi color would do this. Also the roots and middle of my hair (I have very long hair) have become way to red, almost burgundy. Well, I want to go back to my medium golden brown hair color. I know color does not lift color. So, is there a safe way to remove some of this color build up, before coloring my hair close to my lighter natural color. Ughh, please help. P.s.- Even though I know most would say go to a salon, I will be doing this myself. Thank you, soooo much.

I want to remove hair color build up due to years of semi permanent coloring.?

you can't go back light with out bleaching. i would get a really good trim and wait it out because with the red your hair will all ways pull red through the color making it look red no matter what.

I want to remove hair color build up due to years of semi permanent coloring.?

Dye it all black %26amp; start all over!

I want to remove hair color build up due to years of semi permanent coloring.?

try some hair color treatments.

I want to remove hair color build up due to years of semi permanent coloring.?

Wow, that's a lot going on with your single head of hair. And, yes, I would advise you to seek professional help. Truly, that is the safest way to ensure you get the desired results and do not compimise your hair's health.

Since this is something you have decided to do yourself, I have one product I use that I feel as a professional is safe enough to do at home. Check out a Sally Beauty Supply store or the website (www.sallybeauty.com) for Salon Care Hair Color Corrector. This is a two part product that will remove only the ARFTIFICAL color, not your natural pigmentation. It is a non-bleach, gentle formula and is easy to use. You mix both parts and apply - easy enough.

With your case of darker ends and extreme length, I would advise purchasing 2-3 kits and starting the process on your darker ends. This could mean applying the solution in two stages - first with your darker ends and rinsing, then again over your entire length.

This is the best shot you have for tackling this at home. Avoid anything with peroxide or bleach since you could end up doing more harm than good. After all, your goal is to not have to pay mega bucks for a pro colorist to fix you hair, right? If this product does not provide the results you desire, it may be time to see a professional. There is another cost effective option, though. Look for a reputable beauty school in your area - they often offer discounted services done by students who are supervised by licensed instructors. This can be a way to help someone learn and save you a little cash.

best of luck!

I want to remove hair color build up due to years of semi permanent coloring.?

Supposedly, the semi-permanent coloring should wash out in a certain number of shampoos but I too know this isn't always true.

I too would suggest a trip to the salon for correction -- I ended up there myself for a very expensive fix after my home job turned bright purple and blotchy. So, not only did I make a mess of my hair but I ended up at the salon anyway.

If you want to try some ultra-tough shampooings -- maybe try some in an unobtrusive spot so you see what you are getting before you commit to a whole head affair.

BTW -- my salon fix ended up costing about $200!!! They had to strip out the color and then correct the color. Ugh.

Does coloring my hair has any side effetcs???i mean hair loss, dryness, decrease in the hair volume???

Does coloring my hair has any side effetcs???i mean hair loss, dryness, decrease in the hair volume???

I'm a stylist. Coloring your hair is perfectly fine. If you are afraid of it damaging your hair, ask your stylist to use a DEMI PERMANENT color on your hair. It has no harsh chemicals and will last for 4-6 weeks and leave no "roots" showing. or at least it shouldn't. If you like having the permanent color it can be applied every 6 weeks or so depending on how fast your hair grows. Most color should add volume to your hair not decrease it. Hair color does not create hair loss. Hair loss comes from genes or stress. Color may dry out your hair but if you get conditioner that is good for your hair or even a protein pack from Sally's Beauty Supply it will strengthen your hair right back up. You can color your hair about 6 times a year or more depending on your hair texture. What do you mean that a bit of charm has disappeared? If your hair is still healthy and beautiful then there is nothing wrong with coloring it. And finally yes.. go to a professional to get color. The ingredients in box color range anything from propane to acrylic (which is used to create "fake" fingernails) Good luck and i hope this advice helps!!!

Does coloring my hair has any side effetcs???i mean hair loss, dryness, decrease in the hair volume???

I am not a hair stylist or hairdresser but I colour my hair. Colouring your hair makes it dry unless you use conditioners on it and often. Colouring doesn't necessarily break your hair but you should never bleach on top of bleach because it will break the hair off. You can perm your hair but do it before you colour, however perming opens up the pores in the hair and allows it to take it more colour, so the colour will be brighter.

If your hair is losing it's 'charm' I would stop colouring. Leave the colour to grow out, let your hair go back to normal before you try dyeing again.

Don't ever do something to your image for someone else. Dye your hair for yourself, not for your fiance.

Dying your hair at home is fine, but it can often look better if a professional does it.

Hair Coloring?

I died my hair blonde today

but it turned out really brassey

so i went to the store and got a lighter shade and its supposed to take out the brassiness

How long should I wait before dying it again?

Hair Coloring?

just a week.and most people are going to disagree with that, but if you use the light shade to late on your current hair dye its not going to do a damn thing. so wait a week, but wash your hair every other day right now with a good shampoo like paul mitchell which will strengthen your hair. good luck!

Hair Coloring?

really you should wait a month, but a few days atleast.

Hair Coloring?

I seam to get my dye wrong like every other time I color it. Sure I should wait a week, but i usually mess it up so bad I can't live with it a week. I wash it right away and then dye it the next day. This last time I got it too dark (the ends that were previously color treated) and then used Colorbreaks on it right after. It turned out the perfect brown I was after and did not seam to do too much damage.

Hair Coloring?

my hair is naturally blond and i dyed it brown like a washout one from a drug store and then it fades alot but not all the way and it was months later so i tyred to dye it blond but it didnt work like at all so i went back to drugfair and tryed again a week later and then it only dyed my roots and the were like soo light and orange and then i went and dyed that a light brown my natural color the next day and then like the next day i dyed my whole hair blond and it looked kinda the same but just a little bit lighter and a tiny bit more orange and then like a couple weeks later i went and just got highlights and the girl who idd it told me it was because the dye u buy at a drug store cand be strong b/c its against the law so dont dye ur hair from a drugstore bought product lighter just get it done and use alot of condishioner and thats all

Hair Coloring?

you should be using a toner instead of another box dye. try going to sallys beauty supplies and get a platinum toner.

Hair Coloring?

Personally with my experience, you can wait only a day and do it. One time I actually bleached my hair two times in one day and my hair was still somewhat healthy. I mean I've never had hair fall out because of dyeing it too soon or anything. I'm just saying that it will damage your hair, but not so much that it will fall out. Ya know. Hope this helps.

Hair Color Disasters: How To Recover

Hair coloring!?

okee...well i have dark brown hair and tomarrow i am getting it done. i have no idea what to do but i want to change my look before i go back to school. im think of doing this thing where i get my hair layred and go light to dark on every layer, what do you think and do nu have any other suggestions? kthnxbyee%26lt;3

Hair coloring!?

Light to dark actually sounds really nice.

I would prefer the top of your head be the lightest part the the bottom the darkest.

Hair coloring!?

I suggest go black with maroon highlights, do get the layers, it's the hottest style right now.

Hair coloring!?

get a picture of a celbs hair you like and bring it with you to get it done

Hair coloring!?

Go for Light shades in Front.. Then a Bit Darker %26amp; then More Darker.. Thats the Best way Hair Colour is Donee..

Hair coloring!?

put some honey colored pieces in....it will be cool...:)

Hair coloring!?

that sounds good. i also think light and dark blonde highlights would look stunning

Hair coloring!?

if it were me I would want just one color cuz if youre babysitting or anything they will think youre more respsonsible...i use honey blonde..

Hair coloring!?

It's important to know what your getting into before you color your hair. Be sure you know what to expect your hair to look like.

Be sure to bring pictures and have ideas. You need shampoo for color treated hair. You need to know how often you will need this done. Color and changing hairstyles can lead to a lot of Drama in your life. If you explain in detail what you want and what it will take to have that final effect everyday or changes you need to know the details.

If you leave it all up to us it may not be on the same wave as you. And you may not like it then at all.

We can only do what we know best.

Color is not everyone's expertiese be sure your hairstylist knows coloring and has experience as well. You don't want to be smarter than your hairstylist about color that is the warning sign.

Ask questions and get understandable answers.

Then you know your on the right track.

Hair coloring!?

Well, if you want your hair colored then I would go a shade darker than your naturall color because it is a warm tone. Next I would put it in layers to give it a full look and use a straightner to make it go under or flat. Either way looks great.

Hair coloring!?

do wat ever makes u happy, brown is a really nice color

Does it get all the hairs in between? And all the roots?

Is it effective and precise?

On a scale 1 to 10 with 10 being Excellent, Very Effective---what would you you give it?

Thanks so much!

Igia Brush n Color Hair Coloring Brush-Has anyone used this product? Does it really work? Is it effective?

It don't work for me.

Hair coloring?!?

Im not allowed to die my hair too dark, because its naturally blonde as the rents say, what do you suggest to give some depth to my hair!?

Hair coloring?!?

i would go to a salon and get low lights put in your hair so it looks highlighted with your natural color it would be pretty with a beige blonde lowlight

Hair coloring?!?

You can use koolaid if you really wanna save money. You can get a rinse, that way you can wash and do whatever you want to it and its not permanent.

Hair coloring?!?

They have some 1 week color you can get.I think it's by l'

oreal. They have a great color called electric black.

Hair coloring?!?

Never use koolaid on light hair my friend did it wit blonde hair an it stayed for months an she could't get it out. Just add different color highlights to your hair.

Hair coloring ?

I'm about to dye and highlight my hair...should i highlight first or do the "base" color?

I'm thinking of doing highlights first.. in case they come out too light..then can fix with base...would love some opinions...from professionals...

thanks in advance

Hair coloring ?

Do the base color first. Then the highlights. The reason being, if you highlight first the lighter color can grab the base color of the other color. Colors can have a base color anywhere from a red to a green to a blue. So if you do the base color first then highlight you are better off.And will come out with highlights you really like.

Hair coloring????

I have a relaxer on my hair and I'm afraid to put a permanent hair color on it. I also have strands of gray. Will a semi-peramanent cover the gray strands?

Hair coloring????

Be careful with what you put in your hair especially if you do it yourself. It depends how long you've had your relaxer in. You know that once your roots come out you'll have to get a retouch. Relaxer can and will take any "not natural" color out of your hair. Semi-permanent will cover hair but to a certain degree, and of course it will eventually go away because its not completely permanent. It depends with gray hair, because sometimes gray isnt so easy to cover up because its so stubborn. If the color doesnt cover the hair real well it might look like little highlights. It depends what color you plan on getting. I mean the darker you go the better chance you have of it covering. Always read manufacturers directions.

Hair coloring????

putting anything on your hair is a risk. It depends on how long your relaxer has been put in. If you just got the relaxer in your hair then you should wait a while are you going darker or lighter going lighter has a lot of bleaching agents that can really strip your hair. If you are going darker try one of those temp. hair colors and see how you like it. you can also buy(I like Loreal preference) because it has conditioners in it. yes if you leave it on long enough it will cover the gray but it seems like the gray really shows up in about 6 weeks then you can just do a touch up. I know they say to never double process your hair but if you are really scared to do it at home go to a good salon and they will do a stress test on your hair.

HAIR coloring??!?

I want to dye my hair..

I have pretty dark brownish gingery hair right now (ginger tints but mostly dark brown).

would this color be good?

where can I find this hair dye (like which brand is best? does loreal or niceNeasy sell it??)

thanks!

http://www.myhaircuts.com/longhaircuts13...

HAIR coloring??!?

Experiment with Ms. Clairol. Theirs washes out after about 2 weeks so you have nothing to lose. Stay away from the permanent hair colors. They are very hard on your hair.

HAIR coloring??!?

i would go to a salon and get it done i guarentee that even if you find a box that has that color on it, it wont look the same.. i think you should spend the little extra money and get it done at a salon...

Hair coloring..?

I died my hair black recently which was a 28 shampoo wash out..just to see if it would suit me. I am wondering what you think? My hair is naturally medium/dark brown. And possibly if that color does not fit me what color definitly would?? thanx! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/q...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/q...

Hair coloring..?

aww it well suits yoo!!

Hair coloring..?

yea i think the color is good for you. it looks nice, i think you should keep it like that. Or you should try a chocolate cherry type of color, it would look great

Hair coloring..?

i think i would stick to a dark brown.. black is to harsh on ur skin tone. i think a chocolate brown would look gorgeous!

Hair coloring.?

I plan on dying my hair, and already have two diffent colors in mind. Bleach blonde much like jac vaneks color...or Orange with blonde streaks much like Hayley Willams', I have brown hair and I was wondering would it be hard to maintain the color.

And which one is easiest to maintain.

Hair coloring.?

depending on the level of brown it could be a lot of work involved. for the orange hair you will need to bleach add color then highlight , also you will have roots showing in 3-4 weeks, bleach blonde is a double process, bleach then a toner or color depending on what you want to achieve. again , roots

Hair coloring.?

Bleached hair lasts the longest. Expert hair dye lasts longer than the home use products. If you drink beer and eat lots of protein you hair will grow in faster and roots will show.

Hair coloring.?

the orange with the blonde streaks sound so cute and i have 2 colors and hard to maintain, but it's hard to maintain your hair period with dye in.

Hair coloring.?

Bleach blonde is going to need to be maintained every 4 weeks in order for it to look the best. Orange w/ highlights will probably need to be colored every 5-6 and highlighted every other time you color.

Hair coloring.?

YIKES!

You'll regret it if you do it.

Dye it Black or Chocolate Brown...it looks really cute.

Hair coloring.?

i think you should go with the one on just coloring. and no its not that hard to maintain

Hair coloring.?

Bleach Blonde!

Yes easy to maintain.

But If u hav never dyed ur hair before, try a dark blonde first, maybe with light blonde highlights.

Hair coloring??

OK, I use to have blonde hair, but as I got older it got darker so I dyed it blonde about every two months or so, I used Nice n easy (workd great by the way) Well I got pregnant and my hair turned a really dark brown, I didn't color it for a few months b/c of baby, and after I did it was two colors, so I just decided to dye it the dark brown that my hair is now.. My question is what should I do to dye it blonde again, I went to a salon and they said that they would have to bleach it?? And it would cost a lot because of how long my hair is, is it really necessary to bleach it??... What can I do to get it blonde again??

Hair coloring??

The only way to remove color is to bleach it, you can't dye blonde over brown, blonde dyes don't have enough 'lift'.

You may want to try lightening in 'panels' or heavy streaking, rather than a full head bleach. You can do this yourself, but I would really recommend going to have it done professionally.

The best option for your hair's sake is to let it grow out the natural color for a year or so, and then go with something in a high lift, like L'Oreal's 'Les Blondissemes" which has a 30 volume peroxide and stays on for 45 minutes for high lift. Nice-n-Easy is only a 20 volume, 20 minute product, and won't lift nearly as well.

You also may have the option of purchasing professional products from a beauty supply, but most won't sell over 30 volume peroxide to the general public.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Hair coloring??

ok just bleach it ur self if u really want it blond or just leave it the dark brown!

Hair coloring??

Look for a beauty school in your area.

Or try highlighting to bring the blonde back.

I have heard that there are no natural blondes over 30...

Hair coloring??

Take your hair to a beauty school. They will find the easiest way to make you blonde again.

Hair coloring??

Yes you have to bleach it to get all the color out first.... then to lift the color that many levels ( 1 is black..up to 10 which is blond) you need a good color specialist to work on it

the % of bleach determines how many levels you can go. say a 40% bleach will lift you 3 levels. if you were in LI, NY I'd get you a free color treatment with my newest product.

Hair Coloring...??

i have curly hair. my hair is blonde but i want to dye it a lighter color blonde. if i color it will it damage my hair? or when i straighten it will it be all frizzy instead of smooth if i color it?

Hair Coloring...??

Depends on the condition of your hair!

If your using a bleach your hair can become more porous ( brittle, dry) care needs to be taken.

It depends on the level you are and what you want to achieve, if unsure seek a professional for a consultation.

Or contact me and I would be happy to help you further!

Use hair straightening palm to protect your hair when straightening it, I would recommend.

A great colour shampoo and conditioner too!!

Hair Coloring...??

My best friend colours her hair quite often, and she uses a straightener everyday. She has really soft hair, even after this repeated "damage" she does to her hair daily, so...I don't think it'll hurt your hair.

I too colour my hair quite often, but I don't have to straighten it. Instead I blowdry it, and it seems to be doing fine. As long as you use the conditioner that comes with your color, your hair should be okay.

Hair Coloring...??

Color does damage and dry your hair. I recommend not doing it. Just leave well enough alone and spend your time and money doing something you enjoy.

Hair coloring...?

I have naturally jet-black hair and want to try to color it at home. I've tried different brands and different colors but my hair is so dark it hardly shows up. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, what hair color %26amp; brand do you use that works well???

Hair coloring...?

You can start by gradually dying it a light color. Start with a light brown or maybe even a blonde. Just do this every few weeks. Each time pick a lighter shade, until you have the color you want. That's if you want to do it fhe cheap way.

But if you go to the hair dresser they can easily do it fast and make it look perfect! Plus less damage from the constant dye. Since professional dye is different and doesn't damage as much.

- I use Loreal brand :)

Hair coloring...?

Please don't color it @ home! There are so many problems that occur when coloring @ home! Go to a hairrdresser, plz!

Hair coloring???

Hello,

I'm a 14 year old boy and in 9th grade. I want to color my hair a little darker than it is now. The color on my "avatar" is not really what my hair is like. It's lighter. I kind of want it that color but not as dark. Do you think it's "gay" that me being a guy, wants to color my hair?? I mean, I don't want to go gothic or anything. Just experiment.

Thanks!

-Matt

Hair coloring???

try http://www.hairquestions.com

Hair coloring???

Not gay at all. My 14 year old grandson who has naturally light brown hair colored his a dark reddish brown. It looks great. Oh yes, and he adores girls!

Hair coloring???

Use a semi permanent color, if you're going darker, that's all you'll need and it'll stay perfectly fine. Also, it won't damage your hair as much so you can keep trying if you want to change it often or don't like the results. Try a box color, they're cheap and easy to use at home. I would suggest a level 4 or 5. Level 4 for darker, and 5 for a lighter look. You'll see the level number on the box. Good luck!

Hair coloring???

It's definitely not gay. more guys then you realize colors there hair. I know I color guys hair all the time. it just means you want something new. You should get it done professionally though. Hope that helps. Good luck. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

Hair coloring???

now way. its definitaly not "gay"

I think you should dye it. f'sho

Hair coloring???

You can use any colour of your choice and for more detail go to http://www.google.com and search there hair colour shades for you or purchase it from market. I am also using Garnier Multi-light kit
