Hair coloring not taking effect?

i got a perm in may of 06',about a month or so after that i dyed my hair black(my natural is almost black) I have tried to do another perm(about 6 months or more after the first one) because the first perm didnt have the curls i wanted(too small),so I tried for larger curls, but after trying 3 times,(luckily with test strands)and my hair turned orange(no success) i gave up.Now I just dyed my hair a spice color and all that took effect were my bangs, and top part of my hair and some parts IN between. Why is this happening? I never had any trouble in the past with perming nor coloring till I got the perm in may.

Someone please helpppp

Thanks

Be glad you still have hair to b#$*^ about, Your hair is over-processed, it's like there are hole in your hair strands and the color molecules "fall out" A semi permanent color would be better for your hair AND will hang on to damaged hair better. Deep condition...use semi color...and give your poor hair a break

Check the instructions for applying dye. Maybe you've overprocessed your hair, and it won't absorb dye anymore. Ask your favorite hair stylist.

The chemicals from your perm havent grown out yet and all the damage youre adding to your hair is taking its toll. Stop dying it, stop perming it, and you should get it cut 5 inches from your roots so it can grow out healthy again. Good luck.

Well, you cant perm your hair for a while now..Let it rest..But you need to get the color straightend out..Go to a shop that uses Matrix Color sync. Its not a permanant color...I think the problem you were having were too many chemicals and over processing has led you to this mis configured color..After your consultation go into a good conditioning program to get your hair back to health...good luck
