What is the best product to use to "strip" black hair coloring?

I recently let a friend put a demi coloring (black) into the lower half of my hair. (She is in cosmetology school!) I don't want to tell her that I don't like it. The top is light brown with blond hightlights. How can I remove it without my hair turning orange or falling out?

if it's only demi then it will only last a couple more weeks. just put your hair in a messy bun and it will look really cute!

Unfortunately, you're probably going to have to strip your hair of all colour and then re-dye it your natural colour (or as close to it as you can). I'm trying to remember the name of these bleaches...anyway, they'll be in the regular hair dye section of the store. For something this complex, you might want to go to a professional; they usually have gentler products or can make the best recommendations.

you really can't. even color stipper will take you to a weird color. you wont' get back to what it was before. see a pro.

if you insist on doing it yourself, use Manic Panic's Flash Lightning kit, available at most beauty supply stores. Then dye it something close to your natural color.
