Everyone goes to salons to get their hair colored but my mom won't let me because she says it's too expensive. But I really want blonde highlites. Is there any thing i can use from home that will give me blonde highlites?

People say to use lemon juice can i use the lemon juice that comes in the bottles too?

No, lol, im not sure just lemonade will work, get a lemon, squeeze it like u were making orange juice, and put it whre u want highlights, then sit out in the sun until ur hair is ttly dry

just use actual lemon juice. squeezed from the lemon and everything, dont use the store bought stuff. and you have to do it more than once. make sure your hair is wet, but the lemon juice in, then sit in the sun for a while. as i said, you have to do it more than once to get results. me mum said that when she was a teen, she did it with her sisters and her hair became really light and blond, and she's a brunett!

unless you want a really bad 'blotched' job ... do not try anything from home ... sure, lemon juice may lighten your hair but not with the effects you want from real highlights. you do not mention how old you are ... you mom is right, highlights are very expensive, esp if you decide to keep them up. there are many 'box' highlight products on the market but i wouldn't suggest it .. esp if you are getting them for the first time. talk more with your mom and see what the two of you can work out. as for highlights ... they are 'in' during the summer but during the winter months, many of us go darker ... something to think about.

well if u use lemon juice it will be a yellowish nasty blonde instead you should go to walmart and buy a revlon highlighting kit theyre only $6 then u mix the stuff that comes in the kit u put it on strips of ur hair but not all of u hair u take the pieces u hilighted and wrap them in foil individually let it sit for about 45 mins. so it doesnt turn yellow but it turns that nice cool blonde

well if your hair is light brown then the lemon juice might work but u shuld try some SUN-IN it really works just spray it on sections u want highlighted ! however if u have medium brown or darker hair colour then the lemon juice wont really work and SUN-IN will turn ur hair orange so i the lemon jiuce / sun-in only works for light brown or blonde hair
