I have blonde hair (dyed, but not professionally) and it always takes around two bleach sessions to make it yellow. After the bleach, you need to get a toner. Hot Topic sells bleach kits that come with toner. It looks dark blue/purple but the cool tones take out the warm (orange) tones in your hair. Just leave it in for ten-fifteen minutes and you're good to go. Just make sure that your hair isn't too damaged when you tone because the blue color can seep into damaged ends making your hair look greyish. Good luck!

If your hair was very dark brunette you can probably never get it to be blonde. At least that is what my hairdresser told me. I wanted to be blonde and the best she could do was die it strawberry blonde.

If this was done professionally, go back to the salon and have them fix it. If not go to a salon and ask for help.

What color was your hair BEFORE you dyed it? Red is a very tricky color to work with especially if you start with dark hair or blond hair. It may take a couple of dyes (color combinations and time) before you get your desired look. When in doubt, seek a professional stylist! It may cost extra money but at least you'll get the color you want.

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago. If you dye over it with a dark blonde (go for an ash colour) it'll still be reddish, but with a lot less intensity. more like strawberry blonde than orange.

What color was your goal? If it was blond you need to lift through the orange with lightener. This is a job for a professional. They can mix a very gentle formula and only apply where needed. If more true red is the goal you can find a red glaze and do this yourself. Permanent red color is not the answer to this particular situation.
