From your experience, what is the best "at home" DIY hair coloring kit and brand?

I've used Loreal Natural Match and Hydrience in the past. (by the way, while trying my best %26lt;considering I'm coloring my hair at home, ha ha%26gt; my goal is to keep my hair as healthy as I possibly can.) I have brown hair and like to occasionally go dark brown. Any recommendations would be so very helpful!! I'm considering "Herbal Essences Color Me Vibrant".

I've dyed my hair at home more than you can imagine and I use Feria by L'Oreal every single time and my hair still looks like I never touched it! Definately go with that.

Also, I use Herbal Essence's Color Me Vibrant, and it was TERRIBLE!! I used a dark red color, and it turned out BRIGHT red!! I had to wear my hair up for a couple days. Luckily, it faded out after about a week.
