You say you want to strip the color out of your hair and you say they are highlights. First off, highlights are done with bleach. So maybe it is lowlights you have which is done with color. You can use a color remover but it will make your hair more damaged than what it already is. What you need to do is go to the salon and have them put a deep conditioning treatment on your hair and put you under the hairdryer for 10mins or so and also get regular trims and regular deep conditionings, or you can do the treatments at home.

see a stylist at a salon for recommendations. it may cost alot, but they have ways of restoring hair color and can give tips on keeping your hair moisturized better in the future.

you can do that, l'oreal sells some. but i wouldnt recommend it. i tried that and my hair was dry and looked fried and frizzy. it strips not only the color, but the protiens in your hair. what you can do is color over the highlights, or let them grow out. but you may have a different experience than me...so do whatever you want.
